This morning my brother and sister basically begged for donuts for breakfast, so to get them to shut up, I took them to get some on the drive to school. Because of them, I was almost late to school. I wanted to pass by Diego's classroom to say hi to him but I didn't have time and had to rush to class when I got to school.

But all of my classes seemed to go by fast so I saw him at lunch. Sadly, we didn't sit together at lunch, neither of us were willing to introduce the other to our friends. Most of my friends that I sit with at lunch would also be all over him, they're all just a bunch of horny girls. And he knows I wouldn't like his friends because they're all hockey players.

Then in our next class, the teacher talked a lot of nonsense as she showed us a slideshow about what we were learning. I didn't pay much attention, I was busy looking at Diego. Every now and then we'd catch each other staring at the other, which I thought was pretty funny, but also cute. I even blew him a kiss once.

The last few classes went by fast too, maybe because I really only cared about ice practice. When it was time for practice, I quickly ran towards the gym then went through the many hallways to get to the classroom we used when we didn't have the ice rink. Sofia was already there so I sat next to her and waited for everyone else to get there.

Once everyone was there, the coach started off with rearranging the pairs that were gonna be in the competitions. I crossed my fingers, hoping I could be paired with someone I care more about than Henry. And my prayers were answered. The coach paired me up with Sofia. The only bad part about that is that now I have to do the masculine part of whatever routine we'd end up doing.

After that, we got to planning our routine. Me and Sofia came up with a theme. We want our routine to be based on the ballet, Swan Lake. So we looked up a bunch of details from it and decided we'd have outfits just like the ballerinas. That's one of my favorite parts, planning the outfit. That took the whole practice time and when we were done with some planning it was time to go home. So I got all my stuff together and started walking out of the gym.

As I passed the ice rink, I could still hear people in there. Maybe their practice ran late? I walked in to take a look and saw that only the coach and Diego were in there. Diego was skating laps around the rink and the coach was outside, watching Diego. I sat in the bleachers, deciding I'll wait for Diego to finish. I wonder why he's running laps. Could it be some kind of punishment? How would he have gotten in trouble anyway?

With no one else skating around him, it was easy to observe him. I can tell he's very used to skating around the rink real fast like this. He looks like he's sweating quite a lot too, he must have been doing this for a while. “Alright, that's enough! Go home, Sanchez!” His coach yelled and he slowed down before coming to a stop. He looked relieved as the coach began walking away, probably relieved that he's down now.

It didn't take long for him to spot me as he slowly left the rink. I stood up from where I was sitting on the bleachers and walked over towards the exit of the ice rink. “Hey.” He greeted me with a heavy breath. “Hi.” I greeted him back. “How long were you watching?” He asked as he took his helmet off. “Just for a minute or two, I was on my way out and saw you were still here.” I told him, gesturing to the door I'd come from. He nodded his head in understanding.

“Why were you doing laps?” I asked after a few seconds, tilting my head to the side. “The coach is making me and Simon run laps after practice as extra punishment from that fight. Thankfully, he's not here today so I did the laps alone.” He explained to me and I nodded my head this time. “Oh okay. That must be tiring. You look really sweaty.” He chuckled and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. “I am.” He said with another laugh.

I leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Well, I gotta go, and I bet you wanna change out of that so…” He nodded and stepped out from the rink. “Alright. Bye, Mason.” He sat down to start unlacing his skates. “Bye, Diego.” I waved at him before finally making my way out of the school. I love that I can have completely casual conversations with Diego now. He's so nice and easy to talk to, I'm glad he worked so hard to get me to like him back.

I got to my car and drove home, thinking about Diego almost the whole time. When I got home I just did what I usually do at home. I spent a few hours working on both routines, I ate dinner, played with Maverick a bit, messed with my brother and sister, then I got ready for bed. Then I went to bed and jumped onto the bed, I fell asleep a few minutes later, cuddled up with Maverick.
