(Diego POV)
After cleaning up and changing in the locker room, I made my way out of the gym. One of the other hockey teams at our school was playing now and the crowd of people in the bleachers had changed. Mason is probably waiting for me outside.
After putting on a shirt, I pulled out my phone from my locker, checking my notifications. Mason texted to tell me he's waiting outside, as well as my family. I sigh and stuff my phone in my pocket before grabbing my hoodie and pulling it over my head, then I grab my hockey bag and sling it over my shoulder.
I leave the gym through the back of the school and look around, spotting Mason almost immediately. “Hey, Mason!” I wave to him as I approach. He looks up from his phone, smiling once he sees me.
“Diego!” He runs up to me, giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek, avoiding the cheek that got hurt. “Are you okay? It looked like you got hurt pretty bad.” He asks me, both of his hands resting on each side of my face, inspecting my face carefully.
“Yeah I'm alright. Just a nose bleed and a cut on my cheek that might bruise.” I assure him and he nods his head. “Well you did great. You looked so awesome out there.” He tells me, eliciting a laugh from me. “Thanks.”
“Are you doing anything now?” I shake my head. “Well the coaches usually take us out to eat after winning games, but I think I'll skip it.” I hold onto his hand, intertwining our fingers. “Oh, okay. Are you gonna do anything with your family then?”
“Of course not.” With that, I take a glance around me, seeing my dad's car, my mom, sister, and father all sitting in it. “Then do you wanna go get dinner together?” He asks me, a sweet smile on his face. I lean my face into his hand, the other one holding tight on to mine. “Sure. Lemme go tell my parents real quick.”
He nods his head and lets me go. I get to my dad's car and knock on the window, just a few seconds later he rolls it down and faces me. “Hey, uh, me and Mason are gonna go eat together. You guys can go home without me.” I tell him and he nods his head.
“Is your face okay? It looked like you got hit pretty hard, honey.” My mom chimes in and I nod my head, letting her know I'm fine. “You were amazing, though. Good job, man.” My sister says from the backseat and I give her a simple smile and hum return. “Kay, bye.” I wave at all of them and leave, making my way back to Mason.
I run back to him, giving him a thumbs up. “Okay, let's go.” I grab his hand and start walking towards his car. “Alrighty. I told my mom too.” He tells me as he follows along with me. We reach his car and he unlocks it, starting it up. I go to the passenger seat and sit down, then buckle.
“Let's get fast food somewhere. What are you feeling tonight?” He asks as he sits down and buckles as well. “Burgers.” I say quickly, suddenly feeling very hungry. He nods his head and off we go to the closest fast food restaurant.
A little while later we both have our food, he drives us out to a viewpoint over the city, far away from any other people. Naturally, we both got a ton of food, we're both pretty hungry, growing young men.
“You're so cool, Diego. I love watching you play hockey.” Mason tells me as he unwraps his first burger. “You're cool too. Your skating is one of the reasons I love you.” I tell him casually before taking a sip of my drink.
“You keep doing that!” I startle as he yells at me, giving me a slap on my shoulder. “What?” “You keep saying you love me in such casual ways! I can't tell if you're serious or not!” He shakes my shoulders as he talks.
“What! Of course I mean it! I don't even tell my family that I love them!” I yell back in response. “Well how was I supposed to know that?” He whines and I shrug my shoulders. Then he just sighs, seemingly calmed down now. “I love you. Understand?” I hold onto each side of his face, looking right into his eyes.
He looks away, a blush on his face. “I love you too.” He mumbles. I smile and lean in to him, placing a kiss on his cheek before I completely squeeze him, giving him a huge hug. He laughs and hugs back, a large smile on his face.
Once we've both calmed down we get right back to eating, practically scarfing down our food as we tell each other random stories. Eventually, once we were done eating, Mason climbed over to my seat where we could cuddle up together.
I love hanging out with Mason, he's so cute. I just want to hug and kiss him all the time. So why not try to sometimes? I lean over, kissing him on the cheek then the neck. He giggles and wraps his arms around my neck, just letting me nibble on him.
“Diego, no hickeys. I have performances soon.” I whine into him, my voice muffled from his skin. “But your neck is covered in them.” “Ugh…” I can't see it, but he probably rolled his eyes. I just continue my attack, getting more bold as I go.
Mason gets quiet, his grip on me tightening. I stop for a second, looking up at him. “You okay?” I ask him, tilting my head. He nods and squirms a bit before stopping. Then I'm able to get back to his neck, my hands reaching down and squeezing his thighs, eliciting a short squeak from him. I let out a chuckle, but didn't stop just yet. I got this far, I'm not stopping till I have to.
