Rock Brock

When we got back to th ge castele, boring techno guy immediately went to see Alex and didn't even say ANYTHING to us before leaving me, Franzy and Twi in his stupid, totally-less-impressive-than-my-jeep, vehicle!!

--Hey bros, I say we get out of here now!!--I share my AWESOME proposition

--But the witch's still on the run!--Twinkle says, VERY scared and my special bro Franzy nods cuz he agrees

--Do not fret, my bros! ROCK BROOOOCK, HE'LL PROTECT HIS BROOOS!!

--Still not a good idea--My bro FRANZY speaks up

--You don't trust ME, Franzy? I'm the GREATEST adventurer of all times!!

--I do, but Gene said...

--THAT GUY AGAIN?? Cmon Franzy he's no fun!! He isn't even my bro!!

--Brock, I understand, but we don't know what the witch wants! What if she finds you alone again?!--My bro was getting stredsed, so I obviously had to rwassure him!!

--PFFT- That witch doesn't stand a chance against the GREAT ROCK BROCK!!

Franz

How can my friend smile so much in such a situation? I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad one... And I wish I could do the same.

--You already confronted her once, and we know how that went...--I remark. He doesn't seem to have liked my comment, because he angrily frowns.

--That's just because she had the furios with her!

--The chances of...--I start, trying to defend my point.

--STOP IT, YOU NUTHEADS!--Twinkle suddenly yells at us. She looks like her eyebrows are about to fall off because of how much she's narrowing them. I've never seen her like this--. We already have enough problems with Ruby and Alien missing, we don't need more fragmentation!

Brock stays completely silent and so do I. He isn't saying anything, but I get the feeling that Brock might be rethinking a few things.

Ruby

The stranger hadn't tried to kill me so far and the food she had offered me and Alien didn't poison us, but I still preferred to be cautious around her. She insisted on knowing Rock Brock and some girl from Technopolis whose name I can't be bothered to remember, but I had never seen her around before. So many strange people in the span of just two days... Alex would've called it "suspicious".

At some point of our trip, I saw her throwing a large bag in the ocean. I preferred not to ask about it, especially since I had to keep an eye on the rudder. Travelling by sea at night is only ever safe if you're in the Chameleon. And a stolen mini ship isn't the Chameleon, if you couldn't tell.

Ana came up to me at some point, holding one of those square shiny thingies that Morgi also has.

--Hey! They're telling me that your friend's pissed at ya. You might wanna pull out an ukulele and try on some YouTube apology video makeup.

--First of all--I didn't understand any of her blabbering, so I had to ask:--. What even is a "yutu"? And I thought we were alone in the ship..?

--Damn, right--she muttered under her breath--. 18th century pirate... Nevermind! Just make sure you're ready to face the blondie once we get there.

And then, just like that, she left. Without any more explanations. It hadn't even been four hours, but I was already so done with her...

The positive part was that I could finally start to notice Gunpowder's volcano in the distance.

Leonora

We were sitting atop some abandoned barrels in Gunpowder Island. Karma and Morgi had just brought me back, why did it have to be Gunpowder?

--Remember what we told you--Karma firmly spoke--. Our friend's bringing her here, but you don't have to take her shit if you don't want to.

--Yeah!--Morgi added--. It is my illustrious belief that me and my two dearest friends would make rather more pleasant companions than that pirate.

--But you're outsiders--I stated in response--. Therefore you don't have to deal with our issues. Besides maybe she's the one that'll lead me to my brother...

--I mean, she made fun of the death of someone you loved, that's not something you should be tolerating just like that--I must admit, Karma had a point.

--Don't remind me...

We stayed quiet for a few minutes. It was getting dark, quite the time for attempting to kidnap princesses.

--When are they gonna get here?--Morgi impatiently mumbled.

Alex

Gene entered the throne room right when I was having a talk with my father, after Sir Gareth's funeral.

--Ah, Alex, there you are... I'd appreciate it if you could return to the Chameleon, those three are an absolute headache--he started, before noticing my father was there. He quickly excused himself:--Sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt anything...

--Don't be, my son...--Dad always calls my friends that, I don't know why. His sad eyes went back to me after looking at Gene, pensive, for a few seconds--. Alexander... As I was saying, you have to make a choice...--He paused to take a deep breath--. As much as I want you to stay, so I won't lose you too... I know your sister's out there, and you and your friends might be the only ones who can find her.

I felt like vomiting. My father never showed himself so weak to me, not even when mom's body appeared in the dungeons. And that witch was still freely roaming around...

I kneeled down, just like back when I first got my sword.

--By my honour, Father, I swear I'll come back with my sister and that witch's head.

--Very well--Dad got up from the throne and helped me up to give me a hug--. I trust you, son.

I didn't actually feel like letting go, but I knew I had to.

--See you soon, dad.

--Have a safe trip, my little prince.

I bowed one last time and walked away with Gene. Once we were in the corridor, where my father couldn't hear us, I finally spoke to him, swallowing my own fear:--You left Twinkle, Franz and Rock Brock unsupervised in the Chameleon?

--Don't even mention those three...--Gene brought a hand to his head as he answered--. They're a pain to deal with alone. In the Baron's castle, we almost ended up like Ruby. I had to scold them as if they were little children.

--Don't worry, I think it'll be fine.

--You said that same thing last time as well. And from a statistical point of view, the chances of success...--He started tinkering with his holo-pad once again.

--Gene--I said as I covered his screen with my hand--. Magic and witchcraft don't get mixed with statistics. Never.

--I could disprove that hypothesis just by stating the fact that Twinkle and I are friends.

I laughed at that comment, mostly because I needed to feel better about this whole thing. It didn't seem as scary every time I was reminded that Gene and the others were by my side.

Sorry for taking so long to update!! My teachers united against me for the millionth time this year, but it's over now! Half of this upcoming week I'll be busy, so until Friday I'm afraid I won't be able to do much with the story, but don't worry! I have quite the chapter planned out-if I get the time to write it!

(Apologies again cuz this chapter is around 200 words under the average in Wicked, but that last pov felt like such a nice ending...)
