External narrator

A river of purple creatures flowed through the least busy streets of Technopolis, hoping to be unnoticed in their quest. Without Scelesta's affinity to sense the purest blood, their task was slightly harder than it ought to be. Their angry grumbles about that inconvenience didn't concern the few passing technopolians, who didn't have time in their tight schedules to pay attention to the small purple creatures infiltrating the child creating laboratories. Their objective was simple, yet they found that none of the inhabitants of the dome bore the pure blood they so avidly sought. The platinum sinners really did justice to that name, which the furios had posed upon them.

In their disappointment, they fled as discreetly as they had infiltrated, in hopes to get a better solution from their higher priests.

Alex [This is exactly copied from the last chapter where he appeared so no one loses the pace]

Before I could even have time to think of anything, a voice interrupted the pirates. And boy, did I recognise that voice.

--Hey, bros! Cut that out, that's very not cool of you!

I could tell that Gene's face must've been so fun to watch--if we weren't in such a situation--just by the way he sighed and grumbled, contrasting his previous calm and collected behaviour.

Gene

As if the situation wasn't bad enough already, Rock Brock just had to show up and screw things up.

He stands there, a defying look on his face as he scolds the pirates with that stupid vocabulary of his. The sailors slowly turn to look at him, their expressions showing nothing but pure anger and annoyance. It seems that, for once in our existences, we have a slight agreement on something.

I try my best to look concerned as they walk towards him even if, deep down, I really want them to teach that obnoxious and loud adventurer a lesson. Alex struggles in the ropes, I suppose that he wants to free himself and help Rock Brock.

For a moment, I can swear I've heard steps behind me and Alex. But I must be hallucinating, because there's nobody when I turn around. Then, something rather illogical happens: the ropes around my friend's body loosen up, as of someone were untying them. His head snaps to the direction where the knots are getting undone, his expression showing bewilderment.

Soon enough, he's free and standing again. He quickly grabs his sword from the remains of the counter, where the pirates had previously left it without any caution. The pirates receive his first strike in barely a moment while I get untied too. Once I'm back at my feet, our benefactors reveal themselves.

Franz [a few minutes earlier]

--Are you sure I can do this?--Twinkle asks me, her wand shaking alongside her hands--. That's one of the most complicated spells, and if I get it wrong...

--Twi, I believe in you and Brock does too--I grab both of her shoulders and look at her as calmly as I can given the panic I'm trying to fight--. He'll be in a lot of trouble if we don't follow our part of the plan, so you have to try. He's counting on us.

She nods nervously, before taking a deep breath to concentrate. The star on her wand lights up in a pale pink color. Under her breath she whispers unintelligible words and soon I start losing sight of both of our bodies. I don't know much about magic, but it looks like the invisibility spell is working. When there's nothing visible left of either of us, the shine of her wand fades completely. It feels weird, to say the least, not being able to view your own self. There's no time for discomfort, though.
