Slash stroked Axl's shoulder, gently, up and down, listening to his soft breathing. These were one of his favorite moments. Just, getting to lay with him, be close with him, to hold him so softly. He could just keep him so safe and warm, and just watch him sleep. He was so peaceful... He just looked like angel. His beautiful face with his gorgeous features, so quiet and resting, he looked calm, and god, he was just breathtaking. Slash just couldn't get enough of him.

All he could do was just listen to his rhythmic little inhales and exhales, admiring his beauty and wondering what he was dreaming about. He hoped it was good dreams, he could usually tell when they were bad, but he gave him soft little kisses on the top of his head to comfort him anyway. Slash could still just barely believe that this angel was all his. His to hold and to kiss. He didn't want to ever let go. And he didn't have to anymore. He could just stay with him forever.

Slash hugged his back a little closer, giving him sweet tiny kisses on his neck. God he loved this man. He was almost one-hundred percent certain at this point that Axl was just... His soulmate.

He'd never really been one for that true love star-crossed souls kinda shit but... With Axl, he kinda felt like he could understand where those people were comin' from. He thought he'd been in love before but... Compared to Axl, it wasn't even puppy love, nothing could compare to how much he loved him.

Axl was just perfect. He knew he had his "quirks", but Slash didn't even care, he hardly even noticed them, he loved him exactly the way he was. He'd been with girls that he got along with great, or been a good pair, but damn... Him and Axl, just, fit. They just fit. Slash couldn't imagine a more perfect lover, and he couldn't imagine losing him. He couldn't see a world without Axl in it with him.

He had deep desires beyond his primal sexual urges to do things to him, he had desires beyond that. He wanted to buy him flowers on date nights and put them in his hair, to softly kiss his hands and to someday propose to him, maybe under moonlight, marry his soulmate, to slow-dance with him in the rain, not just to have sex with him, but to make love to him on a bed of rose petals, to maybe have a family with him someday, with a daughter who looks just like him with his bright innocent eyes and soft red hair, to live with him all his life, when he could hold him just like this everyday forever until he died. He wanted to die being held by Axl, to take his final breath in his arms so he knew how much he loved him.

That's what he wanted. A lifetime with his soulmate.

Of course he knew what that meant, that he wanted to marry Axl, he understood that. And he was okay with that. But that didn't mean he really intended to so soon. It was okay, they were both young and together only few months, its not like Axl needed a huge commitment like that anyway, Axl knew Slash was loyal to him to death, and Axl would always be a devoted boyfriend, they didn't need vows to acknowledge their dedication to each other, but Slash just knew that's what he wanted.

Someday.

But for now he was happy just to hold him.

Axl was already perfect anyway, he didn't need a ring on his finger or a hyphen Hudson on his last name to make him any more perfect.

Slash watched his bedroom door open, quietly though, so it didn't wake Axl. Slash picked his head up, "Duff?" he whispered.

"Hey man have you-" he stopped in the doorway. "Aww. Well aren't you two cute all cuddly."

Slash grinned, "I know. We're adorable," he slowly combed his fingers through Axl's hair.

Duff looked at the Axl sleeping under Slash's arm. "It's funny to see somethin so vicious all peaceful like that... Like a snake or somethin."
