Naris heart started pounding as she saw Daesung approaching her.
"He- he- hey Daesung. How are you ?" Nari asked.
"I'm doing great" he said approaching her as he pulled Nari into a hug.
With his arms wrapped around her, she nuzzled into his chest smiling. He smelled really good.
"I can feel you smiling and sniffing me. You must like my scent!" Daesung chirped.
"Ohhhhhhhh- I—— uhmmm..." Nari said alarmed.
Sun young, Jake and eunwoo break out into laughter.
"Little miss Nari is infatuated with our Daesung" Jake joked.
Nari glared at him and punched him in the shoulder.
"Owwwweeeeeeee" Jake wined like a little kid.
"What a little baby" Eun-woo said giggling.
"PLSSSS... who was going on and on about our little Sunnie last night like a little kid having his first crush" Jake said annoyed.
"SHUT UP CUNt" Eun-woo said tackling Jake into the pool.
The boys wrestled in the pool giggling when the teacher walked in blowing his whistle. "Settle down boys. You two are always fighting"
""NUH UHHH" Jake said
"NUH-UHHH" Eun-woo mimicked.
"You two annoy me. Anyways, everyone I want 800 IMS every 200 you switch styles. I want first then followed, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. You have 20 minutes then warm ups are done and we'll get into the real conditioning."
Everyone growned in annoyance and started pulling their caps and goggles down.
"Also, I'm pretty sure you have already met her, but we finally have another female in our presence today. Sun young won't be center of attention anymore. Sad but please welcome Nari. Nari I'm Coach San, hope you love swim bc now you will hate it."
Nari waved at everyone and chuckled nervously as she pulled her gogglez and cap on.
Two hours later after swim and conditioning it was finally over.
Sun young bid Nari goodbye and left with Jake and Eun-woo to get dinner with Mae and Felix. Nari wanted to go back and retire to her apartment. As she was walking back she saw Daesung running after her. He caught up with her and matched her pace.
"Hey Nari!" He said cheerfully.
"Hey Daesung!" She responded.
"I was at the store and I bought you strawberry Gatorade! You need of recharge brother! It's been a long day of swim and you need electrolytes!" He said handing her a Gatorade bottle.
Nari was surprised by his actions. "Why did you buy me a drink?" She grabbed the bottle from him looking at it.
"I was uhmmm - at the store and I thought of you because it was your first day of swim and I want you to come back so I got you your favorite flavor of drink!!" Daesung said cheerfully.
"You're so sweet but how did you know it was my favorite flavor?" Nari asked.
"Ohhhhh" Daesung nervously muttered, "i— ok I saw you sitting down at lunch many times with strawberry milk, smoothies or strawberries so I assumed strawberry is your favourite flavor."
Daesung looked at her nervously smiling.
Nari thanked him for the drink. "Let's go get some dinner? I'll pay for you!"
"No no no I'll pay!!" He responded.
"NO! You got my drink I'll get your dinner. Please!!! Brother?" She said holding her hand up to fist bump him.
Daesung bumped her fist back. "OK BROTHER!" He threw both his fist up. "We go to McDonalds!"
"Uhm ok, I guess that works then. Hop in my car then"
The two went to McDonald and bonded over food. Nari felt sad during her outing with Daesung because he reminded her of Hoseok. She always went there with him. They always got a burger and sprite. Like tradition, that's what she got. She couldn't change. Somehow it was like an innate trait that developed when she was 17 apparently.
Daesung ordered a mcchicken chicken with barbecue sauce and ranch. He got fries and a Hi-C.
"Try my food brother! It's good"
Nari looked at Daesung messy looking sandwich. Barbecue sauce and ranch were oozing out of the sandwich and dripping down into the table. It covered Daesung lips.
"Uhmmm, I don't know Daesung..."
"Please" he begged. His eyes looked like a puppy.
She gave in and took a bite into the sandwich. It was delicious.
Maybe it is ok to let go of Hoseok. She missed him but she was in a new environment and needed a new change. Next time she goes to McDonald's, she'll get Daesung meal. It was good, better than Hoseoks.
They left the restaurant. Daesung walked her back to her apartment and bid her away at the door.
"See you tmrw at swim brother! I can't wait to see you. I'm so glad you're in the class. Idk what sun young told you but I am happy." He smiled.
"I'm glad I'm in it. You in it makes it worth it. Sun young is busy with her men" Nari replied.
"Im so happy brother! Goodbye!"
"Bye"
Daesung left the apartment. He put his hand to his chest feeling his heart pound. His heart felt like it was fluttering. He kept seeing flashbacks of them that day. From the second he saw her coming into swim, he knew he liked her. He was on time to class but saw Nari in the pool center with Sun young and the other boys. He immediately got nervous and rushed to bathroom to fix his hair. He smiled into the mirror practicing to say hi to her. He kept messing up but didn't want to be late anymore.
He walked into the class going straight to Nari to hug her. She was so petite it was cute.
When swim was over he saw Nari walk alone back to the apartments. She looked tired. He immediately thought of a Gatorade for her because it helps him so he got it for her.
When at McDonalds, he saw she looked sad and recommended to try his food. He knew a lot of people liked his food combos and she would love it too. And looked so cute trying it.
And when he walked her back and to the present time, her tired face was sad but so cute. He looked forward to seeing her tomorrow. He looked forward to seeing Nari. :)
