It all started in a Korean chicken shop

Friendzone part 1

"Whats going on with you?" Tim asked "I want full honesty. You know you can trust me. I'm you're best friend"

Tim and her were sitting in a plethora of trees. He took her to the campus gardens and after some hiking through bushes and tall grass, they arrived at their destination. There was a empty spot of flowers and grass. Trees surrounded it in a circle completely hiding it from the naked eye. Tim came here to think or too just escape.

Nari was admiring the beauty of this place and how she could have missed it so many times walking through the gardens to get to classes. She was grateful for Tim's presence even though he was one of the reason she felt conflicted.

"Idk, I just feel lost here at Yonsei" she replied. "I thought I find people I belong with but at the end of the day I really realize the only people I have are sun Young and Mae who are always busy with their new toys."

"That makes sense but it's also only a month into college. Why are you trying to fit in so fast when you have four years to do so? I still haven't found my place and I'm almost done with college."

"Yeah I guess that makes sense. I just don't have much friends and the people I was interested in don't want me." Nari replied.

"I will always be here for you Nars? I mean we been friends for a while. It all started in the chicken shop." He chuckled to himself.

"Ouch.... Friends.... Does he even know how bad I love him"Nari question to herself.

"Yeah you're a really good friend Tim. But I don't always want to be a burden on u because I'm lonely" Nari said.

Really good friends... yikes....maybe I should just tell her how I feel....Tim thought to himself...I mean I think I started to fall in love with her since she came back into my life or maybe I always have. I dated Yuna to distract myself from wanting to kiss her or hold her hand all the time in high school...

"You can always count on me Nari. I'll be here for you always and forever." He said smiling grabbing her hand and squeezing it for comfort

Naris heart did a summer sault. His hand was so warm and it was touching hers. The touch felt like electricity zapping up her body. And the squeeze.. holy crap. It made her stomach turn into knots. Her breath started to get shaky.

Just tell him Nari.... Tell him u like him and want to be with him. There's so many signs telling you he likes u back...,

"Tim I have something to confess"

"What is it my Nari?"

"I-I really really like-" she paused. What if he rejects her. She couldn't handle that. No amount of Daesung or Yoongi could fix that kind of broken heart.

"I like spending time with you. You mean the world to me and reconnecting with you again has made me so so happy. I'm always here for you too" Nari replied.

Dammit what's wrong with you Nari she thought to herself. Stupid stupid stupid stupid

"I do too. We should make this our spot. We come here every Friday for lunch here. How about that?"

"That sounds great!" Nari replied. "I'm missing swim class right now and got to head back. I'm already late but sun young is blowing up my phone. I'll see you tonight at work?"

"Sure thing, see you later" Tim said waving goodbye as she got up and walked away.

He laid back down on the grass. He stared up at the sky, the sunlight beaming rays through the trees down on him.

He sighed in despair.

I love her he thought to himself. I know it now. I love Nari.

He recollected his memories back to the coffee shop when they were flirting and he was wiping cream off her nose. They were about to kiss. He knew it. Until that Yoongi guy came in. He had seen that guy around campus a lot. With a lot of girls too. He was quite the attention hog. He had an ego but was shy about it, still it made him jealous. He had Naris attentions

But then there was his ex rooommates Daesung too. That man was perfect. He was close to being an Olympian in highscbool until a shoulder injury got in the way. Nevertheless he is an amazing swimmer and a great guy. He was so kind and considerate of everyone and put others needs before his. It made Tim jealous as hell to think Daesung and Nari could be together.

He wanted to Nari all to himself. It was selfish. He knows that. He was four years older than her, about to enter medical school. While he hadn't made a full decision about where to go, NYU in America was most promising. He would have to leave Nari behind. Could they do long distance?

When he grabbed her hand it made it heart flutter. They were so soft and tiny.

Ughhh he was so in love with her and it was bad. No girl has had a chokehold on him like her. Sure he made out with plenty of girls in college and what not, but he actually wanted something real with her.

All he could do was look forward to work tonight to see her again. He sprung up from his spot and ran to his apartment.

He was had a plan to freshen up, do his hair for once, skin care and basically pamper himself for when work happens, he could tell Nari how he feels. He was gonna make himself so appealable for sure Nari would want him.

Three hours later of pampering and self care Tim was ready for work. He had it all planned out in his head. For sure Nari Wallis reciprocate her feelings back and they would be together.

Tim walked into the shop to replace the morning manager and got things ready for the shift.

In 5 min she should be here. It was gonna be a slow shift so it was him, Nari and one other person working. He would make that person do dishes while him and Nari were out front.

Soon enough Nari came into the restaurant, clocked in and put her uniform on. She came up to tim.

"Wow, you look different from the last time we were together. You look quite charming." Nari said ruffling her hands through Tim's soft hair.

"Well it's for you. I wanted to look good for you my Nari" Tim said placing his hand in her check.

Both of them stopped in their tracks and stared at each other.

"Nari I have something to confess."

"What is it..." she questioning concerning.

"Kim Nari, I really really like you."
