Our drunk Lan Jingyi, was fishing in a pond. He wanted to catch a fish to impress Hanguang-Jun. Jingyi wanted to show off his fishing skills and prove himself as a master fisherman of Gusu Lan clan.
He crawled around the pond on his hands and knees, his face inches from the pond's surface. He put his hands in the water, hoping a fish would jump into them. "Come on, little fishy! Great grandmaster Jingyi's waiting for you!"
Wei Yuan who was chasing after Lan Jingyi, found him by the koi pond, looking like a mess. Lan Jingyi, noticed him and grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Hello, husband!" Lan Jingyi exclaimed, waving a his hand in the air. Wei Yuan's face turned bright red as he stumbled backward.
"Hu..H.. Husband?!" Wei Yuan repeated, looking around frantically to make sure no one was listening.
Lan Jingyi nodded enthusiastically "Are you not my husband?" He tilted his head to the side.
Wei Yuan composed himself and plays along, a small smile "Yes, I'm your husband. What are you doing?"
Lan Jingyi points in towards the pond "I’m fishing, come On, you should catch some fish to impress my mother, He's super scary, by the way, but he is also kind..." (He is talking about Lan Wangji here..)
Wei Yuan glanced around, confused for a moment. "Your Mother?"
Lan Jingyi sigh dramatically as he crossed his arms. "Oh, dumb Alpha, You don't know my mom? How can you be my husband without his permission? I'm leaving you, if you don't get his blessing!"
Wei Yuan face-palmed. "Lan Jingyi, we're not actually married, you know..."
Lan Jingyi gasped dramatically. "Oh, you're abandoning me?! Fine, I'll just marry the koi fish then!" He said with a pout.
Wei Yuan was still processing what was happening with him, he chuckled, shaking his head in amusements. "You're ridiculous, Lan Jingyi."
Lan Jingyi grinned, winking at Wei Yuan. "That's why you love me, husband!"
The conversation became even more absurd as Jingyi stood up, hands on hips, looking fake-angry. "What are you standing there for Husband, come here!"
Wei Yuan rushed over, worried. "What's wrong?" He started inspecting the drunk Omega for any possible injury.
Jingyi whispered in his ear, then suddenly yelled, "What do you mean what's wrong? Are you going to let me stand? I'm with your child! You're not even trying to convince your angry wife?"
Wei Yuan quickly covered his ears, shocked. "Mother? Child? Wife? We're not married!"
Yuan was so embarrassed that he wanted nothing more than to bury himself in the giant hole those three Lans dug in the grand hall. Yet.
Jingyi was being ridiculous. But Wei Yuan played along. He picked Jingyi up like a bride and said, "Let's get you safe, wifey. We don't want our child to get hurt."
Just as Wei Yuan was about to make a dignified exit, Lan Jingyi leaned over the pond and they both fell in with a splash!
Surfacing quickly, Wei Yuan sputtered as he spat out something that had found its way into his mouth during the fall—a live fish. Just by remembering the fish in his mouth, he has goosebumps through out his body. His expression mixed with disbelief and disgust.
Lan Jingyi laughed historically. "You're a bad husband! Can't even keep your wife dry!"
Wei Yuan looked at him in disbelief. "You're the most craziest Lan I've ever met!"
Lan Jingyi laughed heartily "Ehehe, I'm the king of the fish! All the fishy bow before your new king, or else I will tell uncle Lan Qiren, and he will roast you alive, hahaha!"
Wei Yuan rolled his eyes and pulls a face but doesn't say a word. He didn't even know what he should reply..
"Bow before me you stinky fish!" Lan Jingyi continued to taunt him, demanding that the 'stinky fish or Wei Yuan' bow before him. When Wei Yuan refused, Lan Jingyi pouted, his face scrunched up in a comical expression. "Bow before me, husband!" he exclaimed.
Wei Yuan crossed his arms, mirroring Lan Jingyi's pout. Just as he was about to refuse again, he saw tears welling up in Lan Jingyi's eye. His heart melted, and he relented. "This humble servant bows before the King of the pond," he said with a formal bow.
Jingyi giggles satisfied with the greeting, his husband was so cute and obedient. Jingyi was still in the pond, orchestrating an imaginary coronation, commanding the fish to honor their new king. "Now, my loyal subjects, bring me treasures from the depths of pond!"
Wei Yuan, finally had enough of stupidly for one night, scooped up the water and splashed it playfully at new crowd King of the pond.
Lan Jingyi was shocked for a moment and Wei Yuan smiled widely, he had a satisfied look on his face.
"Is this how you treat your king? With splashes and splutters?"
Lan Jingyi splashes water on him in return.
Wei Yuan ducks under a splash and giggles "Only the most mischievous king could inspire such rebellious acts from his loyal subject!"
As they continued their playful water fight, the rest of the night seemed to pause around them, the sounds of the banquet fading into a distant hum.
Eventually, soaked to the skin and breathless from laughter, they climb out of the pond. The condition they were in, No one would say they were the prestigious Second prince of Wei Empire and a honorary disciple of Gusu Lan Clan. Wei Yuan offered Jingyi his arm, which Jingyi took with an exaggerated bow.
Lan Jingyi playfully mocks the Little Alpha "Lead on, my noble Alpha. Let us retire from this royal court and seek warmth and dry clothes."
Hand in hand, they left the pond, their laughter echoing behind them.
Suddenly Lan Jingyi started running somewhere, Wei Yuan followed him, yelling all the way. Jingyi returned back to his Chambers and fell asleep on his bed with his wet clothes.
Yuan just shook his head fondly, with a small smile on his lips, 'He is Crazy but still mine'.
He helped Jingyi into dry clothes and left his Chamber. Their bond deepened by the shared absurdity of the night.
