Frieren and Sozin: Beyond Journey's end

Decades ago

Frieren: Flamme?

Flamme: You mean master?

Frieren looked down.

Frieren: Hm....

Flamme: What is it? 

Frieren: Do you really think the way you dealt with them was unfair?

Flamme: Frieren, do you remember Basalt's final words before he perished?

She remembers a demon in armor. 

Frieren: Why would I? Their kind only uses words to deceive.

Flamme: Smart girl. They're nothing more than monsters that can imitate the human tongue. I call them demons. And take it from an expert they are all the same. They don't play fair, so we don't have no choice, but to take their lead and deceive doubly so.(Looks back at Frieren) If this could be the secret to exterminating their species then I will gladly embrace the dishonor it entrails.  

Sozin stood over Lugner who was slowly disappearing. Sozin was back to normal but his eyes were still purple as he glared.

Sozin: That day you won....you got away with it at first even though Frieren kick your ass you still got away. Lived for a couple of years and now you have to deal with the monster that suffered because of what you did. You die knowing that you lost pitifully.

Sozin snaps his fingers and a red light appeared above him.

Sozin: Unlike you, I make sure to finish the job.

Sozin brings his hand and a beam kills Lugner. 

He then looks into the distance.

Sozin: You really are tricking her huh? 

He smirks. He leans on the rail as he looks out.

Sozin: I probably scared Fern and Stark. I hated how she looked at me with worry. 

He thought about Fern and Stark until it switches to Zelda and Matilda. He started to shake for a bit until a tear fell down.

Sozin: I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me. But I can finally rest knowing you two are avenged.

It shows Sozin and Matilda hugging Zelda as she giggles.

Back to Frieren's flashback

Flamme was walking through a destroyed village.

Flamme: What horrors await today? 

She saw elves scattered around the village.

Flamme: An elven village.

She saw something in the distance and walked towards it.

Flamme: Basalt, a general of the demon king's army. He must have led his forces here to destroy this town. 

She then felt a presence behind her.

Flamme: Speak up girl did you kill him? You look near dead yourself.

She looked at the girl and saw her mana. 

Flamme: Good bit of Mana you have. You must be powerful. You took them head on, didn't you?

The girl didn't say anything just looked into the ground. This was Frieren's. On her knee surrounded by the destruction of her village.

Flamme: A brute in disguise that was a foolish mistake.(Walks over to her.) I don't know why people prefer an honest playing field. Run or hide, or take them by surprise. You're working both safer and smarter if you do.
