And there I stood
With tears in my eyes
As I begged you for once
To take my side
But you were cold, you were never nice
You stood your ground,
And you basked in your prideThere I stood,
With life in my eyes,
As I watched you drift away,
Along with the tide,
Slowly but surely, there was no life
Just ice running through my veins,
And I basked in my prideThere I stand,
With hope in my eyes
Wishing I pulled you out
When there was still time
But we both had our egos
And we both basked in our pride
So much so, that we forgot
We still have a beating heart, we have warmth in our chest,
We forgot we're living,
And that we ever had a lifeI hope one day,
You drift back to me
If you do, I swear on all things I hold dear
I'll be the best version of me-S.
