At the end of the day, Isabella gathered all of the used towels that were scattered around the pool and brought them into the kitchen and threw them into the laundry basket before she walked over to the time clock and grabbed her time card to clock out.
"Miss me? Of course you did." Troy spoke up from behind Isabella as he reached around her and grabbed his timecard before clocking out. Isabella smiled softly before leaning back against the wall and looked up at Troy with a soft smile. "Hey, you ever been on a golf course?"
"We're employees, Troy. Not members." Isabella reminded Troy seriously. "And I don't play golf."
"Who said anything about golf?" Troy smirked down at Isabella before he walked over to the men's locker room to get changed. Isabella watched him go in confusion before she went to the women's locker room and got changed. After getting changed and putting her stuff away in her locker, Isabella walked out onto the golf course to find Troy sitting down on a blanket with a picnic in front of him.
"Are you sure it's okay for us to be out here?" Isabella asked in concern as she looked around and sat down on the blanket next to Troy as he started to take out the food that he had prepared.
"Yeah, unless the jackrabbits turn us in." Troy joked with a soft smile causing Isabella to giggle as she smiled softly at Troy.
"So, how's kitchen duty?" Isabella asked Troy curiously, causing him to sigh.
"Oh, you know, the team that washes dishes together, wins together." Troy said sarcastically with a smirk before sticking a fork into the slice of cake that he had packed and held it out towards Isabella who leaned forward and took a bite..
"My mom said summer jobs look good on college applications." Isabella noted as she finished chewing.
"All part of the frightening concept called 'our future'." Troy sighed as he lost his smile, causing Isabella to look at him in concern.
"Are you worried?" Isabella asked as she scooted closer to Troy.
"Hey, we both know that college costs a fortune." Troy sighed as he looked at the ground. "My parents are saving pennies, unlike the people at this place."
"You know there are always scholarships." Isabella reminded Troy with a soft smile.
"I'm only as good as whatever happens next season." Troy gently shook his head. "It's... I always liked the idea of being in charge of my future, until it actually started happening."
"Right now let's just think about what's happening right now, we both deserve a break from worrying about our futures." Isabella told Troy, causing him to give her a soft smile. "Especially when I've never been in one place for an entire summer, and this means a lot to me, especially being here with..."
"Such an outstanding peanut-butter and-jelly-sandwich maker like me?" Troy joked with a smirk as he held up one of the sandwiches up, causing Isabella to reach out and take it from him.
"I want to be able to have an amazing summer with my sister, boyfriend and a group of friends, something that I have never been able to do before." Isabella admitted, causing Troy to look at her with a soft smile. "I want to be able to remember this summer, Troy." The couple looked at each other with soft smiles, before Isabella backed away from Troy and knelt down on her knees as she grabbed a handful of grapes. "Here, catch."
"Oh, I love this game." Troy exclaimed with a grin.
"Ready?" Isabella asked Troy as she got ready to throw a grape at him.
"Go." Troy nodded his head, causing Isabella to throw a grape and Troy quickly caught it in his mouth. "Oh!"
"Beautiful." Isabella grinned as she clapped for Troy.
"Yes!" Troy celebrated as he rolled onto his back before sitting up and grabbing three grapes. "Okay. Your turn."
"Okay." Isabella nodded as she got ready for her turn. With a smirk, Troy purposefully threw all three grapes at the same time, causing Isabella to exclaim in shock as she didn't catch a single one.
"You didn't catch a single one of them." Troy laughed as he quickly stood up and started to run away from his girlfriend.
"You..." Isabella exclaimed as she stood up and followed after Troy.
"That was so bad." Troy teased Isabella as he purposefully fell to the ground and started to roll down the hill.
After getting to the bottom, Troy stood up from the ground, causing Isabella to quickly jump onto his back, causing them to both laugh as Troy grabbed onto Isabella's thighs so that she wouldn't fall off. "Oh, no way." Troy said as he started spinning around, causing the couple to continue to laugh as he continued to spin around. Troy knelt to the ground and let Isabella to fall off his back and onto the ground where she just laid there while giggling. Troy got up from the ground before grabbing onto Isabella's hand and pulling her up from the ground with him. He leaned down and gently touched his forehead to Isabella's and started to lean forward to kiss Isabella when all of a sudden the sprinklers went off.
"No way." Troy exclaimed in shock as he looked around and the couple got wet from the sprinklers before looking back towards Isabella and he playfully bowed to her while holding out a hand. "May I have this dance?"
"Why, of course you may." Isabella laughed as she playfully curtsyed to Troy.
"Let's go then." Troy smiled before he gently placed a hand on Isabella's waist and grabbed one of her hands while Isabella placed her other hand on Troy's shoulder. The couple then started to playfully dance across the golf course while getting soaked from the sprinklers that they were dancing through. "You are going to get sooooo wet!" Troy exclaimed with a grin as he took Isabella's hand and ran through the sprinklers, pulling Isabella with him as they laughed with large grins on their faces.
After running around through the sprinklers for a few more minutes, the couple came to a stop when they noticed Fulton standing a couple of yards away with crossed arms as the water stopped coming out of the sprinklers. The couple shared a look before walking over to him and looked down at the ground silently as Fulton started to lecture them.
"First a break-time infraction, now frolicking on the golf course." Fulton noted as he looked over at Isabella with a stern look on his face. "We are not off to an auspicious start, are we, Miss Montez?"
"Actually, Mr Fulton, this was my idea, so she's..." Troy spoke up truthfully before Fulton cut him off.
"How gallant, but irrelevant. We won't allow this to happen again, will we?" Fulton snapped as he looked between the two, causing them to quickly shake their heads. The couple shared a look as Fulton then turned around and walked away from them.
