I woke up and sneezed.

Shaking, I went into the bathroom and washed my face.

I left my room and went to see if Brent was awake.

He wasn't in his room.

I went all through the house looking for him.

Walking out the front door, I saw him sitting under the juniper tree out front and sighed.

... Brent's POV ...

"Do I really want this? Or am I just hero worshipping?" I asked myself.

I looked at the hands that aren't really mine... or, should I honestly think like that at all?

She did this... for me... because we're friends?

We only met a day ago...

"Brent?" I heard.

Looking back, I saw her lit up by the sun and my heart pounded.

In that moment, I couldn't ever imagine life without her in it.

... Josie's POV ...

I saw the tears in his eyes as he watched me.

"Are you okay?" I asked, softly.

"Yes. As long as you're here." He said.

I went and sat down beside him.

He hugged me and I couldn't hold back anymore. I didn't want to.

I kissed him and he stiffened up but relaxed again.

...

She kissed me!

I...

I never want to leave her.

I'd rather die!

Again!

...

When we parted, I wrapped my arms around his chest.

How could a completely different soul make a body's physical appearance so different without really changing anything physical at all?

I killed this body and now, because it's Brent, I can't help but love it.

I laughed.

"What is it?" Brent asked.

"I think... no. I want to know something." I said.

"Okay."

"What's your favorite color?"

"That's kind of hard to answer.

If it's nature, red.

A vehicle? Green.

Anything else? Mocha brown, like your eyes." He said.

We stayed there for a few hours until I heard his stomach growl.

I started to get up and he kissed me.

Letting me go, he smiled.

"Payback." He chuckled.

I went inside and couldn't help it.

I started running through the halls, excitedly shouting until I bumped into him as he closed the front door.

We looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"Were you just...?"

"Running through the halls like a child? So what if I was?" I asked, grinning.
