Brent knocks at the door to the guest house.

Kyle opens the door and immediately falls back to land on his rear.

Brent steps forward and picks up the shivering tod.

"Hey, hey... it's alright, bud.

You're not in any danger, okay?" Brent says.

Kyle starts hyperventilating and Brent locks onto his conscious and subconscious.

Music seemed to emanate throughout the house, in general.

Turns out that Brent figured out how to "plug" telekinesis into his thoughts to "play" music through anything that was hollow enough to audibly vibrate.

He calls it Psychic Phonograph.

As it played, Brent sat Kyle on the sofa and walked outside.

Layla came out to see the man for herself.

"You're Holly's father?"

He nods.

"So, she..."

"Said that you can stay in this house for as long as you like. Yes."

"And you're fine with that?" She asks.

"My daughter said it, didn't she?" He asks calmly.

"Y-yes sir."

"Then, you have your answer, don't you?"

Layla smiles.

"Thank you."

"Oh, what is your relationship with Kyle?"

"He's my cousin.

We were actually visiting when our parents were killed.

We were just kids.

We... just happened to be playing in the crawl space under the house.

We heard them... dying... and......." She breaks down, crying.

"Re-opening wounds will only lead to infection."

Brent hugs her as she cries.

Josie walks up.

{Wow, Brent. I sure do catch you in the arms of other women a lot.} I tease.

He'd been sharing the entire situation with me, mentally.

Layla looks at me curiously.

"Hello, Layla.

I'm Josie Carter, Holly's mother." I say, sweetly.

Her eyes widen as she looks at Brent, quickly pushing herself out of his arms.

"I-I-I-I-I.....Uhhhh...." She stammers.

"You're fine.

Brent's my husband and we're telepathic, so, there really isn't any need to worry, dear." I say, smiling.

"Oh... um.. thank you."

"Of course.

He's been sharing what he sees and hears, with me, until just now.

You could kiss him and it wouldn't bother either one of us.

Actually, if he did get turned on, he knows right where the main docking port is..."

Her ears fell back...

"You're so open about it... I never knew that a morph could be so peaceful and happy with a human spouse..."
