Between a Cook and an Agent

"Oh no Usopp!" Nami shouted as she watched me lower the seriously injured man onto Merry's deck. "How come he looked worse than I last saw him!?"

I explained the situation to Nami as her eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "Nami, I need you to take care of Usopp. I'll be right back." 

Without explaining myself further, I hopped out of Merry and started running back to the city. 

"(Y/N)-san! Where are you going!?" Nami shouted

"I'm going to speak to my brother!" I shouted back. I need to notify Iceburg the situation. This is getting out of hand and I have no idea what Franky is doing! 

As I made my way through the streets of Water 7, I noticed a familiar white pigeon following my tail. He eventually leveled alongside me, talking to me at my running pace. 

"Coo, what are you doing?" Hattori spoke.

"Oh Hattori, I'm sorry, would you mind telling Lucci that now is not a good time? Something urgent has happened." I spoke out frantically, probably sounding out of breath as I've been running around like crazy. "Where is Lucci anyways?" 

I looked at the pigeon and watched him slowly glide backwards and suddenly see Lucci catching up towards me, running alongside me now. This caught me by surprise that I almost tripped over my own feet. 

"L-Lucci!?" 

"Explain what happened." Hattori spoke on his behalf. But this time, Lucci reached his arm out, grabbing my hand and stopped me from running. 

"Why did you stop me? I need to talk to Iceburg immediately!" I said, trying to release from his grip. 

"No" Lucci said straight from his lips. His voice was stern. "You need to calm down first. You seemed to be in a panicked state." 

I looked at him and felt my tense body finally relaxing. My heart has been beating rapidly from the moment we found Usopp, learning news of Franky Family's involvement, Robin being missing and even knowing what's going on with Merry. It's all overwhelming. 

Tears finally streamed down my face as I let my emotions hit me. "Lucci, I was so happy to be home, but why is so much shit happening all of a sudden?"

I can feel his hand on my cheek and using his thumb to wipe away a few tears. His action made me blush slightly as more tears continue to stream down my face. 

"I'm sorry you're going through a lot right now. But if you go to Iceburg, what would that do at this moment?" 

"I....can't explain it to you..." That was all I could say to him. I needed to explain the Franky situation to Iceburg. Especially since Franky is our brother. I will need to come up with some sort of excuse....

"I guess, the fact that my friend is severely injured and it involves the Franky Family. So maybe with my brother's role as Mayor...he could help me out." 

I could see Lucci looking at me for quite a bit but I'm not sure if he actually believed me. But then again, Lucci has always been a mysterious man which was a quality I like about him. 

"Do you want me to help you?"

I shook my head. "No its okay. I appreciate you offering though. I don't want to get you involved." 

I didn't realize his hand was still cupped to my face as his thumb trailed down to my lips and lightly brushed them. My face flushed even more as I nervously stood there and felt my heart palpitating once again. 

"Seems like you kissed this same person again." 

His statement shocked me. Seriously, how the fuck does he know this stuff?
