Between a Cook and an Agent

"Hey! Join our crew. We need a shipwright for the Going Merry." I was approached by the infamous Straw Hat Luffy I heard of from word of mouth throughout my travels. 

I've traveled through the Grand Line and joined multiple crews to learn more about ship building and how the world looks like. If anything, during the past year out in the sea, I was really interested in travelling with the Straw Hat pirates. 

To my surprise, here I am meeting them at this random town out of sheer coincidence. 

"So you're Monkey D. Luffy huh?" I asked, staring at the supposed pirate captain. My hands placed on my hip as I just finished cleaning the small boats I just built for some clients.

"Huh? You know about me?" Is this guy an idiot? 

"Of course I do. Your poster is all over town." I said, pointing at Luffy's 'Wanted' poster plastered all over the walls. 

"Gah! Why is there so many of me around here!?" Luffy shouted with his eyes popping out of his socket. 

I couldn't help but to laugh at his goofiness. "Well, what makes you want me to be a part of your crew though?" 

"I saw how you worked on those ships. You repaired those small boats and I see you also have devil fruit power. You're strong and you'll be a great part of our team." Luffy answered with a cheesy smile. 

I was really impressed with his words of encouragement. It would be very fun to travel with the Straw Hat pirates indeed. 

"Sure I'll join you. On one condition." I said, holding up a finger for Luffy to see. Will he meet my condition?

"And what would it be?" He asked confidently. 

"That a year from now, you will escort me back to my home city, Water 7. I can introduce you to many shipwrights we have. I promise you that you will find another shipwright to join your crew as well." I said, giving the same confident energy as him.  

"Deal!" Luffy shouted as he and I shook hands in agreement.

I could tell something about Luffy gives me a vibe that he will someday be "King of the Pirates" as he claimed to be. Reminds me of Tom when he proudly built Gold D. Roger's pirate ship. 

With that, I joined the Straw Hats and met the rest of the crew; Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Chopper, Robin and Sanji. Everyone were extremely friendly or neutral and accepted me immediately. No one showed any form of animosity. But I think that's because they all seem to trust Luffy's judgement. 

What I did not expect was finding immediate attraction to Sanji, the young cook, just like how I was immediately attracted to Lucci when I first met him. 

That might be a problem for the next year...

And yet it did become a problem for my love life. I somehow gotten closer to Sanji and tried my absolute best to stay away from him. Even with him calling me "(Y/N)-Chwan", when he's being silly, despite me being a few years older than him, and constantly having hearts in his eyes. 

Even though I found the man highly attractive, I know his personality is that of a big flirt. I see him constantly flirting with Nami and Robin as well and any other woman he meets during our journey. I don't know why, but something about Sanji draws me to him and I can't seem to put my finger around it. 

Is it because of his flirty behavior that I found charming? Is it from his amazing chef skills? Could it be because he acts like such a gentleman? Or am I just weird and am attracted to men with unique eyebrows?

"Goodbye Foxy Pirates!" Luffy yelled as he waved the Foxy Pirate crew goodbye.
