From afar, Ray could already hear the screams of his fellow schoolmates. He was annoyed, quite pissed even. His mood wasn't the best in general, he didn't yet have his first drink or cigarette yet. In general, the desire to go through this day was minimal. Ray took one of his favorite pink devils from the pack of cigarettes and stuck it between his plump lips, before lighting it up. After the first puff, the immediate unpleasant taste of scratchy smoke was quickly softened by a faint flavor of vanilla . Ray loved the sweet scent of the cigarettes and all in all he deemed the brand quite fitting for him, given their pink color.
Slowly, Ray approached the crowd which had formed on the campus. He could catch just a glimpse of the two fighters, who were covered in dust, blood and sweat. Their muffled grunts and the sounds of their bodies slamming against each other could only faintly be heard through the screams of the bystanders.
White, standing at the edge of the fight, he kept cheering for Boston. Who, right at that moment, received a punch in the ribs from Nick. Cheaum stood next to him, a concerned expression reflecting on her face. But she knew she couldn't do anything to keep the boys from fighting, without hurting herself.
Ray rolled his eyes, hadn't he told White to stop the two brawlers? He flicked the cigarette away and made his way through the crowd of students. Ray hated that he had to touch their bodies. And the scent of sweat which now rose upon his nose didn't make this experience any better.
"Kitty." he heard a surprised voice, clearing the path for Ray.
"Now they're in trouble." another stated.
"This could get interesting." A low whisper passed through the crowd.
"Boston, you idiot, stop that shit." Boston didn't think for a second about listening to Ray, this was the first time he had come up against Nick, and he wasn't going to let the triumph be taken away from him. The Yolo Gang leader shook his head in disbelief. Both of the fighters in front of him were bleeding all over their faces. Their clothes were pretty torn up, covered in dirt and dust.
"Damn it, Kitty. Call off your rabid dog, before he gets himself killed." Gram reared up menacingly in front of Ray, who wasn't exactly impressed by the other.
