Nightmare

Chapter 24

Unfortunately, you had to break the calm you all had found yourselves in.

"I do need to talk to you guys," you mutter.

You had found yourself outside, laying down on the soft grass. Your head was lying in Yeonjun's lap, with Taehyun laying his head on your stomach. Soobin and Beomgyu had Kai cuddled in between them as they lay a few paces from you.

"Yeah of course," Soobin hums, nodding.

You open your mouth to begin, but a knock cuts you off. You stiffen, looking to the side of the house. Yeonjun places a protective hand on your stomach as you all stare. Taehyun sits up, Soobin following his lead and heading to the side of the house. When you shift to move, Soobin shakes his head, holding a hand out to keep you from moving. The two vampires shuffle silently around the side of the house and you lose sight of them. Beomgyu and Kai move over to you and Yeonjun, sitting in a way that would block you from sight.

"It's okay!"

Your body relaxes when Taehyun's voice meets your ears, but you still keep your guard up. He doesn;t sound happy. You understand why when you two mates walk back into your view, two other bodies follow theirs. You jump up from Yeonjun's lap, glaring angrily at the two standing in front of you.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Ere we don't want to fight," your brother raises his hands in surrender.

You scoff, rolling your eyes. "No, you just tried to kill me the last time I saw you. Why would I ever think you want to fight?"

Your other mates have stood up by now, all of them surrounding you in case your siblings try anything.

"If you aren't here to fight, then why are you here?" Beomgyu is the one to ask this, his eyes flashing gray in warning.

"We were hoping to talk to our sibling," Gaia responds softly. "Alone if possible."

"No." Soobin's answer is concise.

"Ere plea-"

You cut Echo off quickly. "I will listen to what you have to say, but my mates are not leaving. You can't blame me for wanting to exercise a large amount of caution around you. So, you either tell me what you want to or you leave."

They both look at eachother, but nod nonetheless. "Can we at least go inside?"

"Fine."

Kai motions for the two of them to head inside first, not wanting your siblings to walk behind them, and especially not near you. Echo and Gaia concede, quickly entering the house. You follow behind them, heading into the kitchen and taking a seat at the table. Your boys immediately surround you, leaving your siblings to stand awkwardly in front of you.

Gaia clears her throat when you are all settled. "First, we both want to say that we are-"

"No apologizing," you groan. "I warned you for a good decade about what they were doing and that it would probably kill me, you didn't listen, and then saw the consequences of your actions. You dont get to apologize, so don't fucking try."

They both pause, eye glistening but nod anyway.

"Amos got away," Echo breathes out. "We tried to kill them, but they got away. Which means they are still looking for you."

"So you have to get far, far away from here. Go to another country, preferably across at least one ocean. They will come after you again, so just leave," Gaia finishes for her brother.

"Good, then I can kill them," you declare.

The coven looks at you, shocked. Your siblings stare wide eyed but you don't back down from your words.
