When I started my second year in this school, it didn't end up well. There are these troublemakers in my class that make the whole class gloomy. They are Daniel, Dylan, and Diego. They are so mischievous and disobedient against the rules of the school. They don't hesitate to exasperate another student; even the teachers have had enough of their behavior.

And it all turns into a nightmare caused by a moment. One of them, Daniel, fell in love with one of the famous girls in school. One day, there was a moment where he confesses his feelings to that girl and asks for a date. Unfortunately, the girl rejects her in front of many students. Daniel became so upset and ashamed that he never talked to her again. His friends, Dylan and Diego, comforted him to forget about everything, and Daniel agreed to move on from his feelings.

Until that moment happened, the moment that turned my life and Iwan into misery.
The moment when the girl that Daniel confessed to came to me and confessed her feelings to me in front of another student. I rejected her, and I tried to comfort her that it was okay. I told her that I was not interested in having a girlfriend for now, and it was not her fault. But I could see someone was drowning in agony among the crowd that was looking at me. It was Daniel, watching me from afar with jealousy and anger. Since that moment Daniel and his friends started to put a target on me and Iwan.

Right now, in the cafeteria, Iwan stumbled up on Dylan's leg, and his lunch dropped down to the floor, leaving stains on Iwan's uniform. Dylan said sorry because it was an accident, but I know well they did that on purpose.

It was just the beginning of our nightmares; they kept disturbing us while we were studying. They don't hesitate to throw away the trash to Iwan, who's sitting on his desk and cackling at us. Iwan just sits quietly and throws away the trash into the bin. I know well that they're upset because that girl rejected Daniel and confessed her feelings to me. But I can't figure out why they are pointing at Iwan instead of me.

I'm trying to encourage Iwan so he doesn't feel miserable, and I know that it's all because of me.

"Iwan! Are you okay?".

*Iwan nodded his head

"Why do you just sit quietly while they're intimidating you?".

*Iwan put his arm on his chest and took a breath out. (It's fine, just let it slide)

"You can't be like this; they will do this even worse if you're not doing anything." I'm upset that they touched my best friend.

*Iwan shakes his head, takes his first 2 fingers, and taps on his thumb. (No, it's not the way).

"B-but..."

*Iwan pointed his index finger at my heart and moved it to his lips. (You don't have to worry, just stay still and don't get involved).

That's not what I meant; this all happened because of me. And I don't want them to keep intimidating Iwan. Iwan is too kind-hearted; he just let things slide and told me not to get involved with them.

Days by days passed, and after all these hard times this semester, it's finally the end of our second year. We are moving to 9th grade soon and we can't wait to enjoy our summer holidays.

As usual, I'm invited to Iwan's house for a barbecue party; I gladly accept their invitation. I've been visiting Iwan's house a few times; we're getting close to each other, and his grandfather treats me like his own grandkid. What a beautiful family; it leaves a strange yet peaceful feeling in my heart whenever I meet them; not even a word could describe the feelings I have.

I prepared for my visit to Iwan's house, and this time, I brought some beef and snacks for them. I asked my driver to drive me there, it took us a few minutes to get in there. Iwan and his grandfather welcomed me at the front door with bright smiles on their face.
