My heart stopped for a moment. Barely could breath because it was unbelievable to accept. Getting dark all around. Stepping back as I look forward I see my favorite childhood doll turning into a six-foot-tall man.

Jungkook. His name echoed in my mind like a forbidden secret. He stood face to face, his dark hair swept back, revealing a strong jawline and piercing eyes. His smirk was both playful and dangerous, as if he held secrets that could unravel the very fabric of reality. The wine glass in his hand glinted under the chandeliers, its crimson contents swirling like liquid desire.
"Mr. Jeon introduced us-." When he interrupted Mr. Kim's sentence, I froze, astonished, my eyes widening.
" I know her Han Younie." He raised the wine glass to his lips, taking a slow sip. The liquid stained his mouth, and I imagined the taste-rich, velvety, forbidden. My mind raced, conjuring scenarios: Was he a spirit, A killer from a past life, And something more then sinister.
Upon hearing such an accurate, assured, and confident reply, Mr. Kim looks at them with a curious gaze.
"Who do you know, Mr. Jeon?"
"Actually, I once came to Busan, but due to the change of seasons, I fell ill, and coincidentally, I went to the hospital where Miss Han works, and that's where we met."
Then, all the people present turned to look at me, and my future father-in-law asked me again.
"Do you really know him, Younie?" I became a bit anxious at his question and started pinching my finger.
"Actually, it's been so long, I don't quite remember," I tried to remain calm because if I lied here, I could be caught in more questions, which would certainly embarrass me in this gathering.
"It's natural, Miss Han. I too had become one of your patients, and among so many patients, it's normal not to remember me specifically," Jungkook cheered me up. Everyone present laughed, but I laughed because of his foolishness. No one figured out that no one would ever go to a general surgeon for a simple cold or cough.
"Okk everybody cheer," Mr. Kim said, and everyone raised their champagne glasses, including me, standing nervously between my future father-in-law and husband.
Several moments passed, maybe an hour, as I noticed it was already seven o'clock by looking at wrist. I had been with Taehyung all this time; he had been accompanying me in every way, but now, I was sitting alone since he had gone to meet Mr. Kim for some business matter. It was certainly urgent since he told me their company wanted to make a new investment, and for that, the company had thrown this party. And literally, I was also present here.
Feeling a bit annoyed, I thought I'd take a walk around the hall until Taehyung called me, and then I'd go back to him. Walking, I leaned on the railing of a balcony at one end. I hadn't realized I was standing on the 15th floor. Although I'm not afraid of heights, I stood there confidently.
