LUCY BRONZE POV:
I was sat in the lounge watching an episode of bend it like beckham with my girlfriend Keira before unlocking my phone, smiling intently at the image on my Home Screen.
It was me and Keira but squeezed in the middle was our little girl.I turned my head swiftly at the sudden noise of my daughter carefully making her way down the stairs, trying to brush through her slightly messy bed hair. Once she reached me I turned my phone towards her "look how cute you used to be"
I watched as my daughters tired face turned to an unhappy one.
"Oi" she said before playfully punching my arm.
I threw her a wink before she sighed and stated
"Right I'm gonna make some breakfast"
"Shreddies?" I giggled knowing the answer already.
"What else would she eat?" Keira chuckled.
We both received well deserved glares before she walked over, got her bowl out and poured her shreddies.I watched as my daughter perched herself on the edge of the sofa before cramming as many shreddies that could fit on her spoon at once into her small mouth.
"Chlo? Me and kei have training this morning, do you want to come instead of staying with nana?"
I watched as my daughters brownish-green eyes lit up and widened. She unexpectedly shuffled along the sofa and placed her head on my lap. I smiled down at her and she smiled back up at me. I stroked my fingers through her, brown, now brushed, rather long hair and decided to speak up.
"I take that as a yes" I smirked down at her.
"If I have too" she rolled her eyes jokingly at me.
I picked my phone up and motioned to my mums contact threatening to call so she wouldn't be able to come.
"No no no no no"
I placed my phone down and pressed a gentle kiss on my daughters forehead.
"Go get ready"I watched as she reluctantly got up and ran up the stairs, racing to get dressed. Keira moved over and took position next to me. I placed an arm around her shoulders and she leant her head onto mine.
"Your an amazing mum to her Luce"
I smiled both internally and externally.
"You are too kei. I'll never be more greatful for anyone than I am for you. The way you just came into mine and Chloe's life and just instantly made us a happier family. I could never ask for anyone better."I watched as Keira lifted her head up blushing slightly at my speech.
"You always know what to say, huh?"
I shot her a wink and replied
"Well.. I am Lucy bronze"
I received a death stare which I ignored and went to check wether Chloe was ready.Knocking quietly on the door I heard a few sniffles. "Chlo? Can I come in?" I heard her en-suite tap run and a few splashes of water get flicked. Maybe onto her face? I decided to go in as she had definatley had long enough to get changed.
"Hey mum" She smiled at me.
I looked at her concerned and searched her face for any signs of crying. My instinct was that maybe she had cried -due to the sniffles- and then splashed water on her face to disguise it.
After staring for a while I realised there was nothing that suggested she had been crying."Okay mum what's with the staring"
I received an un-impressed look from my daughter."Sorry sweetheart. Anyways are you ready? We need to leave in 5."
She decided to drop the past conversation and reply with "yep I'm ready"We all got in the car and me and Keira chatted away while Chloe put her air pods in and listened to music. I've never really liked her music taste but when she puts it on for everyone to listen to I don't mind it. As long as she's happy.
During training me and Keira discussed what our plans were with Chloe's upcoming birthday. It was in just over a week and we hadn't quite figured out what to get her as a main present.
"I think we should buy her football boots. The Marcus Rashford pair!" I suggested.
"Nooooo we need to get her something other than football boots Luce. She doesn't need a pair every year."
I looked down, silently recognising she was right. Not wanting to look like I was giving in I kept going on about it through the whole training session with Keira shutting me down each time.I went to get Chloe from the sidelines but when I looked over I couldn't see her. A moment of worry took over me but was soon lifted when I felt the arms of my daughter wrap around my waist. I twisted round and lifted her onto my hip.
"Where did you go?" I gently asked her.
"Well I didn't come to your man-city football training just to sit on the sidelines. I wanted to join in."
I nodded my head and tried to look for the culprit. My eyes fixed on one person walking towards us.
Who else but THE Georgia Stanaway.
"Heyyy Lucyyy" she exclaimed.
I looked up at her with a questioning face.
"Is there something I can do for you stanaway?"
She nodded her head and pointed at my daughter.
"I wanted to do penalty's with Chloe"
Georgia announced proudly.I put my daughter down and watched as she hopped on to Georgia's back. The amount of princess treatment this girl gets you wouldn't have a clue she was turning 13 scarily soon.
The amount of times my mum had reminded me of how much of a pain I was when I was a teenager was stuck in my brain. I love her but I wish she could stay a kid forever.
