Ryleigh woke up early and decided to busy herself until Landon texted her. For some reason, she was more excited than nervous about the date. As she finished eating her breakfast there was a knock at the door. Placing her dishes in the sink she walked up and opened it to see Sophia standing there with a smile on her face.

"What are you doing here?" Ryleigh asked.

"A little birdy told me that you have a date today" she answers with a smile.

"Come on in then," Ryleigh says with a smile.

She moved out of the way so Sophia could enter before closing the door.

"I still can't believe you're going on a date with Landon Ramirez. I thought you told me nothing was happening between you," Sophia says as they head to Ryleigh's room.

"I thought so too now I'm just confused," Ryleigh states as she starts passing back and forth.

"Ryles look at me you're going to be okay and if anything goes wrong you can just text me," Sophia reassures as she grabs Ryleigh's shoulders to stop her from passing.

"Yeah, you're right thank you," Ryleigh breathes out as she relaxes her muscles.

"Enough with the worrying let's get you ready for your date with Mr. Grump," Sophia smirked.

Ryleigh chuckled at Sophia's teasing. "Mr. Grump, huh? Well, I guess we'll see if he still lives up to that reputation tonight," she replied, playfully rolling her eyes.

Sophia walked over to Ryleigh's closet and began rummaging through the clothes. "What do you plan on wearing? Something casual or more dressy?" she asked, pulling out a few options and holding them up for Ryleigh to see.

Ryleigh joined her at the closet, considering the choices. "I think I'll go for something in between. I want to look nice, but not too formal. It's just a casual outing, after all," she said, taking one of the outfits and holding it up against herself in front of the mirror.

Sophia nodded in agreement. "Good call. You don't want to seem like you're trying too hard. How about this one?" she suggested, holding up a flowy, short dress in a vibrant shade of blue.

Ryleigh studied the dress for a moment before smiling. "I love it! It's perfect. And it'll match my eyes," she said, her excitement growing as she imagined herself wearing it.

Sophia grinned. "Great choice! Now, let's do something about your hair. How about we style it in loose waves? It'll give you a relaxed and elegant look," she suggested, leading Ryleigh towards the bathroom where she kept her collection of hair tools.

As Sophia worked her magic on Ryleigh's hair, they chatted about everything and anything, trying to distract Ryleigh from her nerves. Sophia shared funny stories, and they laughed together, allowing Ryleigh to gradually let go of her worries.

Once the loose waves were perfected, Sophia moved on to makeup. She opted for a natural look, enhancing Ryleigh's features without going overboard. Ryleigh admired herself in the mirror, feeling a renewed sense of confidence.

"Alright, Miss Beautiful, you're ready to charm Mr. Grump," Sophia declared, stepping back to admire her handiwork.

Ryleigh grinned, feeling a mixture of excitement and anticipation. "Thank you, Sophia. I don't know what I'd do without you," she said, giving her friend a heartfelt hug.

Sophia hugged her back, squeezing her tightly. "You're going to be fantastic, Ryles. Just be yourself and enjoy the moment. Now, I believe it's time for you to go meet your date," she said with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
