Ryleigh was up before the sun, as she always was, preparing for another busy day at her beloved bakery. The aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries filled the air as she turned on the ovens and arranged the display cases with an array of mouthwatering treats. The soft rays of the morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the cozy little space.

As she worked, her mind wandered back to the events of the past few weeks. It had been a whirlwind, to say the least. Ryleigh had never expected her life to take such an unexpected turn, but she couldn't deny the happiness that had come with it.

She never would've imagined that the guy who would sweep her off her feet and give her the fairytale romance she always dreamed of was none other than her now former high school enemy. Every time she hung out with Landon she would instantly get butterflies. She got used to the nickname Sunshine as it now makes her feel warm and giddy inside.

Her friendship with Sophia has been stronger than ever. She was the one who told her to give Landon a try after all and she always thanked her for it. They've been through thick and thin together and Ryleigh wouldn't have it any other way.

Customers soon started piling into the bakery so Ryleigh and her employees got to work on making, taking, and packing orders.

As the day wore on, the bakery continued to bustle with activity. Ryleigh was in her element, chatting with regular customers and making new ones feel welcome. Just as she was starting to think about closing up shop, the door swung open and Landon walked in, Sophia by his side.

"Hey, Sunshine," Landon said, flashing his charming smile. "We're just in time for a sweet treat, right?"

Ryleigh's heart skipped a beat at the nickname. "Always, Handsome," she replied, winking at him. "What can I get for you two?"

Sophia, who had been quietly observing the exchange, piped up. "I'll take a chocolate croissant, please. And can we hang out for a bit after you close up? I haven't seen you all day."

Ryleigh nodded, expertly boxing up a few pastries. "Of course, I'd love that. Let me just finish up a few things and we can head out."

Twenty minutes later, Ryleigh locked the door and flipped the sign to "Closed." She, Landon, and Sophia walked out into the crisp afternoon air, chatting and laughing as they made their way to Ryleigh's car.

At Ryleigh's house, the three friends settled in for a cozy evening. Sophia flopped down on the couch, while Landon and Ryleigh busied themselves in the kitchen, making a pot of coffee and preparing a few snacks.

As they worked, Landon stole glances at Ryleigh, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "You know, Sunshine, I never thought I'd be the type to fall for a baker," he said, his voice low and teasing.

Ryleigh playfully rolled her eyes. "And I never thought I'd fall for my high school enemy," she replied, handing him a cup of coffee.

Sophia, who had been quietly observing the banter, chimed in. "I'm just glad I got to witness the whole thing. You two are adorable."

They sat down to enjoy their coffee and treats, and Ryleigh felt a sense of contentment wash over her. This was what she had been missing – a sense of belonging, of being surrounded by people who cared about her.

As the evening wore on, they talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories and laughter. At one point, Landon pulled out his guitar and began strumming a soft melody, Sophia and Ryleigh singing along in harmony.

As the night drew to a close, Ryleigh walked Sophia to the door, hugging her tightly. "Thanks for being here, Soph. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Sophia smiled, her eyes shining with friendship. "You'll never have to find out, Ry. I'm here for you, always."

Ryleigh watched as Sophia drove away, Landon slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. "You know, Sunshine, I think I'm falling for you so hard," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear.

Ryleigh's heart skipped a beat as she turned to face him, her eyes meeting his. "I'm already there, Handsome," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
