As the morning wore on, Ryleigh found herself feeling more and more excited about her plans with Landon. She couldn't believe how much she was looking forward to spending time with him, especially after their magical date the night before.
After Landon left, Ryleigh went back to the kitchen to find Sophia sipping on a cup of coffee and grinning at her from ear to ear.
"Well, well, well," Sophia said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Look at you, blushing like a schoolgirl. You must be really into him, huh?"
Ryleigh rolled her eyes, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks. "Shut up, Sophia. I'm just happy, okay?"
Sophia chuckled, setting her cup down. "I'm happy for you, Ryleigh. You deserve it. So, what's the plan for today?"
Ryleigh took a seat next to Sophia, feeling a sense of excitement build up inside her. "Landon's picking me up at noon, and we're going to grab lunch before heading to dinner at that new Italian place downtown."
Sophia's eyes widened. "Ooh, fancy. You must be really impressed with him, huh?"
Ryleigh shrugged, trying to play it cool. "I don't know, Sophia. I just really like spending time with him, okay?"
Sophia nodded, a knowing glint in her eye. "I get it. You're smitten. But don't worry, I won't tease you too much about it."
Ryleigh laughed, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Thanks, Sophia. I appreciate it."
As the morning wore on, Ryleigh found herself getting more and more anxious to see Landon again. She spent the next few hours getting ready, trying on different outfits, and doing her hair and makeup.
Finally, at noon, the doorbell rang, and Ryleigh's heart skipped a beat. She took a deep breath, smoothed out her dress, and made her way to the door.
When she opened it, Landon was standing there, looking more handsome than ever in a pair of dark jeans and a white button-down shirt. He smiled at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and Ryleigh's heart melted all over again.
"Hey, Sunshine," he said, holding out a bouquet of flowers. "You look stunning."
Ryleigh blushed, feeling a sense of shyness wash over her. "Thanks, Landon. You look pretty great yourself."
Landon chuckled, handing her the flowers. "I try my best. Shall we?"
Ryleigh nodded, taking the flowers from him and feeling a sense of excitement build up inside her. She knew that this was going to be a day to remember.
As they walked to the car, Landon opened the door for her and helped her in, his hand brushing against hers as he did. Ryleigh felt a spark of electricity run through her, and she knew that she was in trouble. She was falling for Landon, hard.
The rest of the day was a blur of laughter and conversation, as they grabbed lunch at a quaint little café and explored the downtown area. Ryleigh felt like she was walking on air, her heart soaring with happiness.
As the sun began to set, Landon took her to the Italian restaurant, where they were greeted by the aroma of freshly cooked pasta and the sound of soft music. Ryleigh felt like she was in a dream, the whole day feeling like a romantic fairy tale.
As they sat down at their table, Landon reached out and took her hand, his eyes locking onto hers. "I'm so glad I got to spend the day with you, Ryleigh," he said, his voice low and husky. "You make me feel alive in a way that no one else ever has."
Ryleigh's heart skipped a beat as she looked into his eyes, feeling a sense of vulnerability wash over her. "I feel the same way, Landon," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've never felt this way about anyone before."
Landon's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his grip on her hand tightening. "I'm glad," he said, his voice full of emotion. "I was hoping you'd feel the same way."
As they sat there, holding hands and looking into each other's eyes, Ryleigh knew that she was in love. She was in love with Landon, and she knew that she would do anything to make him happy.
The rest of the night was a blur of laughter and conversation, as they talked and joked and got to know each other better. Ryleigh felt like she was on cloud nine, her heart soaring with happiness.
As the night drew to a close, Landon walked her home, his arm wrapped around her shoulders. Ryleigh felt like she was in a dream, the whole day feeling like a romantic fantasy.
As they stood outside her door, Landon turned to her and smiled, his eyes shining with affection. "I had an amazing time today, Ryleigh," he said, his voice low and husky. "I don't want the night to end."
Ryleigh's heart skipped a beat as she looked up at him, feeling a sense of excitement build up inside her. "I don't want it to end either," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Landon's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, Ryleigh felt like she was drowning in their depths. Then, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers, the kiss sending shivers down her spine.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Ryleigh knew that she was in love. She was in love with Landon, and she knew that she would do anything to make him happy.
