The night was beautiful...as it always was, on Mobius, the lights of Westopolis, I watched as the G.U.N Vans drove out of the city with some agents as well as some Black Arm Alien specimens to study.
The black hedgehog only sat down on the hill that had a perfect view of the city, as the leaves from the large tree rustled cause of the strong wind. His ears tilted up slightly at the sound of footsteps coming closer.
A white female bat, wearing a black full-body sleeveless suit, with a pink heart chest plate over her breasts that was still showing some cleavage, a light purple vest, and white heel boots with the same pink heart on the toes, a black utility belt around her waist, and light make up. "The Commander was looking for you?"
The black hedgehog only rolled his eyes, "Tsk, what does he want?" He coldly asked the bat.
"Just something about the Emerald, that I let you take you...got him to back off for a while." The bat responded as she set herself down right next to him, following his gaze over to the city.
The black hedgehog was just quiet as he just let the light breeze blow through his quills...he kept his hand on the charm on his necklace, even with his memories back there were still things that were missing from his thoughts that he would often get glimpses of.
"When you get a chance...Handsome, the Chaotics would like to chat with you, Vector said that he found something that is worth you seeing." The bat said to the black hedgehog with a soft nudge of her elbow to the Life Form.
The black hedgehog only growls at the bat for the nickname. "I'll look into it...tomorrow" he mutters as he lets go of the charm on his necklace, his gaze hadn't left the city, he wasn't someone to keep up a conversation, not when it was clear that he rather be alone with his thoughts, now that he didn't have G.U.N on his back twenty-four/seven.
A soft sigh escaped the bat's lips, as she just got up...she understood that the hedgehog was going through something, and as a friend she respected that, after all, she was the one that gave that Mobian Detective Group, some clues to help her friend...fully come to terms with whatever was bothering him. "I'll make sure to leave the door unlocked...when you decide to come back to the apartment." She said as her wings started to flap and she took off into the night.
The black hedgehog watched the bat fly off in a different direction of the city, leaving him alone finally.

The soft lights of the lightbulbs that were meant to mimic the light of the sun, of the hidden indoor garden on the ARK, were as bright as the natural light.
The black hedgehog was sitting in the field of allergic-free flowers, just watching the blue hedgehog make something with the flowers, that peaked his curiosity.
"There we go," The weak Hedgehog said as he placed the flower crown onto the black hedgehog's head.
The taller male looked up at the crown causing his ear to twitch slightly, in confusion. "Why did you give this?"
"Because it makes you look handsome."
The black hedgehog only blinked, he hadn't been called that before...well besides by the female scientists who were helping Gerald with his project, but when it came from the blue hedgehog...he could just feel his own heart flutter. "Thank you"
The blue hedgehog scooted closer to the other, sitting down on the grass. The black hedgehog could sense the blue hedgehog's heartbeat started to soften...something that he picked up on whenever the hedgehog was close to him, it wasn't concerning since Gerald told him that hearts do that whenever someone was relaxed, or sleeping, it's only when the heart stops that it becomes a major concern, that and it started to beat abnormal fast.
"Is the medication making you tired?" He asked.
"A little...but being around you also makes me feel relaxed," The hedgehog said with a warm smile on his muzzle.

The black hedgehog narrowed his eyes, down at the city and then at the tree that he was sitting under...he knew that when that bat called him Handsome it was just to tease him or lighten up his mood...but now he knew why he didn't like the name.
It was a compliment from that blue hedgehog, that haunted his memories...but that thing about the heartbeat. For some reason, his heartbeat softens when he is thinking about that hedgehog.
You make me feel relaxed too...Maurice.
He thought to himself, he only got up from his spot underneath the tree...his air shoes starting up as he just bolted down the hill towards the city leaving behind an ember-like trail behind him.
As he skated across the fields, his shoes darting past the different colors of the flowers, all of them that would be deemed as too harmful for that blue hedgehog, but rather safe for the life form. He didn't bother stopping in his tracks, after all, he was heading somewhere important that was on one of the streets in the city.
Dashing through the city, just isn't what it used to be...before the invasion, but can't blame G.U.N for doing half of the clean-up work and fixing up the city after that Black Comet crashed into the park, with its roots digging into the ground. At least they did a good job of cleaning up the bodies.
As the black hedgehog skated, and grinded on some loose electrical wires that were keeping some parts of the city connected, he soon came to a stop in from of a building with a team emblem on the front. Walking up the steps he places only knocked on the door.
"Sorry, we're abo-Oh Shadow, come in," the purple chameleon said, dressed in ninja-like attire...from the shoulders down, with a dark purple scarf wrapped around his neck.
The black hedgehog only stepped inside the building, to see that it was kind of a mess, cause of the quakes that happened when the invasion started. "I'm only here for what Rouge had you guys find for me."
"Yes, The Data from that Computer was rather scrambled, but I managed to get it unscrambled enough so that we could get the notes." The chameleon said as he walked over to the laptop that was plugged into the wall, he pulled out the flash drive from the port and handed it over to the black hedgehog.
"You didn't look at it Right?"
"No, as curious as I am...it's not my place to snoop around after it's for the best that I leave that to you than G.U.N"
"Yeah...Thanks" The black started as he just pocketed the flash drive. With a single wave, he just bolted out of the building back onto the crumbling streets of the city.
