I woke up at 11:00 am and got ready for the day, I didn't go to school today because my mom was off today and we were going to go out because I never get to see her and she needed to talk to me about something. I never really had one on one important conversations with my mom so you could say I was a bit nervous what it was about but I didn't question it and just got ready quickly because I was suppose to be up by 10 and dressed by 11:30 but I slept in but it doesn't really matter knowing my mom she won't be on time anyways.
Me and my mom were headed out of town to a nearest city because there wasn't anything to do in this town. We got in the city and went to a small cafe so we could get a bite to eat and she could talk to me about what she needed too.
We got seated and started looking at the menus when she puts down her menu and looks at me which makes me do the same, she looked like she wanted to say something but didn't know how to start it til she did "I know me and your dad are never around and I apologize for that" she said softly "it's fine I'm use to it" I said calmly picking back up my menu trying to seem fine about it "well so I guess I shouldn't have changed my schedule to work only 3 days a week since your fine with it" she said playfully "wait what" I said with excitement "you did what" "yep now I will get to spend more time with you and your dad is trying to make more time for you, we notice you Isa I can tell you seem abandoned but we see you I promise" her words melted my heart to hear coming from her, I leaned over the table and gave me a big hug.
We ate and left the cafe, we decided to head to the mall since we were in the city and probably wouldn't be back for a while. I got a white cardigan and some light blue mom jeans and we headed back home, we got back in town and it was almost 4 and that's when I had to be into work so my mom drove me over there, I got out and thanked her and told her what time she had to be back to pick me up and said said okay and for me to be safe and she left.
I got in and Javon was already there I walked by him to get into the kitchen and he waved and smiled so I did the same; I went to the back and greeted my co workers and got started on my duties when I got a table so I went out and seen Izzy and Josie with Javon, I didn't like when they came in here because they always had something to say and like if you complain about the place so much why keep coming but I knew exactly why they kept coming because supposedly Izzy has a crush on him and she also likes to get on my nerves but this is the first time I actually had the wait there table she usually just says shit to me when she leaves or whenever she gets the chance, I usually get someone else to wait their table if it's my turn but no other waitress was in yet they get here a little late and I'm the only one so I guess I gotta take them.
I took a deep breath and went to their table and I could see the look in her eyes and the smirk on her face when she noticed I was waiting her table. " what can I get yall" said kindly even tho I didn't want to be there " they usually know what we want" Izzy said being a damn asshole like always "well I haven't waited y'all before so do you mind telling me what you want" "yes I do mind" I was about done with her then Javon stepped in " bro just tell her you do too damn much" he said then looked at me with a smile as if he was helping me out, I heard the door bell go off and I looked over to see another waitress walk in and I got lucky she looked at me and nodded because she already knew but she had to put her stuff away first then she was going to take the table. "Another sever will be with y'all in a moment" I said relieved and went to the back to do get back on my duties.
I was cleaning up when Javon went back there, he was allowed because Chris which was the owner didn't care what he did because he trusted him but he never came over to where I was so i was caught off guard by his actions. "Hey" he said to me shyly but confidently "hey" I said continuing to do my stuff "I'm sorry about Izzy she can be stupid sometimes don't mind her" "thanks but I already know" I said slightly laughing" "I'm Javon" " I know who you are, you come in here almost everyday" "so you do notice me" "who said I didn't" "oh really i never caught your name" " it's Isabella" "that's a pretty name" "thank you" "well imma get back out there see ya" he said with wave and a smile "yea see ya" I said with a smile and waving back at him.
It was 30 minutes til closing but I had all my duties done and my mom was her so I let the manager know and headed out when Javon headed out as well, we got to the door and he opened it for me "thank you" "no problem it's the least I could do " "it's late why are you still here" I said with a slight laugh not trying to make it a serious question
" ion feel like going back with the boys" " and whys that" I said a little concerned " it's just not the best environment" "why you stay there then" "well would you like to stay at a house all by yourself with no one or nothing" "I basically do everyday" I said a bit offended by the fact he just assumed I didn't understand where he was coming from" oh shit my bad then" " yea well my moms waiting for me see you around" " before you go i don't mean to get in your business or anything but I heard you family is pretty well off" " yea but it takes a lot to make the money they do" that's all I said before getting to the car with my mom driving off and questioning "who was that" "no one" I replied plainly.
