Johnnie's POV:
————————————————————————-

I began a summer job as a barista, at a local coffee shop. It's been so boring working there.
Right now I'm walking to work and there's many interesting looking people out here.
And many of them are judging me.

I walked in the shop and put on my apron and got behind the cash register, waiting for someone to walk in and pay for coffee.
I waited,
and waited,
and waited.

My coworkers were talking to each other, leaving me alone, looking dumb.

A group of girl walked in. They're always coming here and they're always the first ones.
"The usual."
One of the girls said.

"And what would that be?.."

"Uh, the usual? The same thing I always get?"
She replied with an attitude. Her friends laughed.

"Ma'am, I serve a ton of people every day, im not going to remember everyone's order that easily. So what will you be getting today?"
I replied, trying to remain calm.

"We're always coming here every single day, early in the morning. How are you not going to remember what we get?"

"Like I said, I serve a lot of people so I won't remember what everyone gets."

"Well you should! We are always coming here first! We're your guy's number one customers! We should at least get some respect."

"Ma'am if you're going to argue about this then it would be better for you to leave."

"I am not leaving until I get my order!"
She growled at me. Her friends told her to calm down before 'I' did anything to her. The hell did they mean by that? And why are they assuming that I would do something to her.

"Are you guys going to order something or just argue over your "usual" order."
One of the customers said. It wasn't a female voice. It was a male voice.
A hot male voice if im being honest.
Which sounded a bit familiar...

"Just give me an expresso..."
The rest of the girls told me their order and I headed over and began making it, when I finished I handed it to them and they paid me.
One of the girls left a tip and whispered,
"Sorry about that, she's just grumpy because her boyfriend broke up with her."

"I would too if she kept giving me an attitude."
I mumbled to myself.
"Well, hope she takes care?..."
I responded.

She walked away and there he was, standing in front of me.
"Coffee boy.."
I whispered.

"Sup, emo boy, that chick seems like a pain in the ass huh? No wonder her man left her."

"Emo boy", thats the name he always calls me when he comes here.
I call him "Coffee Boy".
He's always ordering a coffee and he always gets a ton of sugar packets. Maybe around five or so.

"Y-yeah.. so, what would you be getting today?"

"The usual,"
He said in a sassy tone, mocking the girl.
"Nah im joking, I think I'll get a sweet tea.. actually, no, make it unsweetened tea!"

"Wow! Quite surprising that you're getting that. You're always getting coffee. Do you also want sugar packets for it?"
I giggled.

He laugh and nodded his head.
"I like your laugh, it's cute."
He said.

I smiled then walked away to make his drink. I went back and gave him his drink and he paid. I watched him walk away and sit by himself in a table.
While I was taking the next customers order, all I could think about was how he complimented my laugh.
I've always been insecure of my laugh and him complimenting it made me feel good about it.
