Jake and Tara have been dating for years. They both love each other a lot and are always together everywhere they go.
In the other hand, Johnnie is single and has no one. One thing he knows is that he has a crush on Jake. No one knows, except for Carrington,
their roommate.

Johnnie is always talking about how he likes him. But every time he sees Jake and Tara together, it makes him feel bad, knowing that he will
never get a chance to be with the person he loves.

Tonight, Tara was trowing a party in her house. She invited everyone she knew, which meant that Jake, Johnnie and Carrington were all invited. Johnnie didn't want to go because he knew that Jake would just be around Tara the whole time.

"Jake!"
Tara squealed and hugged her boyfriend, kissing him on the cheek.
Johnnie felt nauseous after seeing that.

"Johnnie and Carrington! Im also glad you guys made it!"

They all walked in and the house was nearly full. Tara walked away from them to greet other people who were arriving.

"Wanna go get something to drink?"
Jake asked the two guys who were just standing awkwardly.

"Sure"
Johnnie and Carrington replied.

A couple hours passed, Jake and Johnnie were both really drunk, except for Carrington since he had planned to drive all three of them home. Johnnie and Carrington were both sitting on the couch. Johnnie watched as Jake and Tara danced together to the song.

"I want to stop loving him, but everything he does makes me love him even more."

"Do you find any of these people attractive, that aren't Jake?"

Johnnie looked around,
"He's the only one who caught my attention. None of these people can compare to him."

"Im sorry but there really is nothing I can do.. you'll just have to move on from him, and accept that he's only in love with Tara, and not with you..."

Those words stung him in the heart.
He knew it was true.
He knew he had to accept that Jake would never love him, like Johnnie loved him.
He was happy with Tara.
And that's all Johnnie cared for.
He wanted to see his best friend happy with the person he loved.

Jake walked up to him.
"Johnnie, why do you look so sad? We're at a party! You gotta have fun!"
He exclaimed.

Johnnie broke down in tears, knowing that Jake would never understand how he felt.

"Johnnie you alright?..."

"Leave him alone. He doesn't want to talk to anyone right now."
Carrington tried telling Jake in a calm tone, but his voice sounded irritated.

"What the fuck?! The hell did I do? All I did was ask if he was alright!"

"I just said he doesn't want to talk to anyone!
Now go back to your girlfriend."

"Is he crying just because im hanging out with Tara? I can't always be around you Johnnie."
Jake turned to looked at Johnnie who was still crying.

"Jake! What the fuck is wrong with you!"
Carrington stood up while yelling at Jake.
They both argued back and forth. Johnnie stayed where he was silently crying because his friends were arguing over him.

"Then why is he crying? Why are you being so protective of him?!"

"I can't tell you why! He has to tell you himself!"
