"Everyone, follow me; we're going to do Cake at Stake."
And they indeed would. After yet another unremarkable walk to the Cake at Stake place, they'd immediately begin.
"So, instead of a cake, we have a cracker." The Announcer began. "Hm." Match remarked. "Cracker at stake? That's kinda, like, a downgrade." She'd fold her arms. "If you are safe, I'll give you a cracker piece." The speaker box continued. "If you don't get a cracker piece, you'll be eliminated." Bubble, already feeling rather tense, would suddenly scream. "Oh, sorry." She'd snap out of it. "Oi got scared!" "But Bubble, you don't have to be." The box replied. "Because the five of you were not up for elimination, you all get cracker pieces." She would then receive her piece, alongside four... others...
"Hang on, what?" Tennis Ball interjected, having taken a cracker to the face pretty well. "Five of them are immune? I thought there were just two? And weren't they Teardrop and Pen?"
Ellipsis.
"Stop questioning things, TB." Pin remarked. "You're acting as if strange events like these are still rare. Let's just get to the voting." "Oh. Yes." The Announcer replied; with a quick turn, he'd pull up something that hadn't been seen in quite a while. "We received a total of." He'd look up for a moment, expecting there to be big green numbers on screen, only for there to be nothing. "Um. It looks like it's acting up again." "Uh... speaker thing?" Pen raised his hand. "We're the ones that are supposed to vote." "Oh, right." The Announcer snapped back to his senses. "Sorry, I remember now. As I said before, this time around, the viewers do not get to vote someone out; instead, the five contestants who aren't in the danger zone will get to vote."
Confused murmuring would start among the contestants. "Announcer, buddy, you doing alright?" Leafy chimed in. "You're doing just fine with the hosting?" "I don't know what you're talking about." The Announcer replied. "Perhaps it is you that is not alright." The leaf folded her arms, scoffing. "Well, that's not nice!" She'd exclaim. Meanwhile, Pin would grumble. "Can we just get to voting, already?" "Yes, we should." The metal box answered. "Remember, whoever gets the most votes will be-"
A few loud sparks would suddenly appear, and before anyone knew it, the Announcer was now on the ground, twitching; after a little while of this, the metal box would start letting out smoke, as well as a little bit of acid. "Uh..." Match raised an eyebrow. "Like, what just happened?" "Oi'm scared!" Bubble exclaimed. "Me too!" Tennis Ball replied. "Oh, please." Pin scoffed. "There's nothing to worry about; if anything, this is good. With no host to do Cake at Stake, I guess no one's getting eliminated." She'd feign a sigh in relief. "We all get to survive another day. How fun! Let's just head back and..."
She'd try to leave her seat, only to be completely unable to; she'd lift her arm just an inch off the armrest, only for it to suddenly snap back to it. "Huh." She'd try again a few more times, with much the same results. "That's... odd." "I know, right?" Pen chimed in. "Why *do* we get stuck in our seats during Cake at Stake? TD has a few ideas, but..." Teardrop shrugged.
Everyone else would also begin giving it a go, and none of them would be able to leave their seats. They were just well and truly stuck there, for... whatever reason. What was mostly quiet mumblings turned into a commotion, to confusion, to chaos. Nobody knew what was going on, nobody could get out of their predicament, and nobody knew what to do. The writing utensil and the drop of water, being immune and thus the only ones free from this strange predicament, would quickly depart the bleachers. "Hang on, guys!" He'd shout. "Maybe GB can help us out with this." A minute or two would pass, and things would only get worse in the Cake at Stake place. They were all already pretty riled up, what with participating in the Battle for Dream Island for so long, everyone starting to grow tired of each other, and now with the possibility that they could get eliminated and stuck in a room for who knows how long. Now that that whole 'trapped' thing was seemingly coming to fruition?
