Nothing to do but yet more waiting.
Golf Ball, being as stubborn as ever, *still* wouldn't see the light, continuing to hide away in her little corner, hoping that they'd all just... go away. Up at the surface, Pin and the rest of Team Not continued to hang around nearby, waiting for the inevitable moment where level heads will ultimately prevail. It was only a matter of time, after all; it might not be in this very second, but there's always a chance, a non-zero chance, that it'll be the next one. Then there's also a chance that it's the one after that, and the one after *that*, or the one following, and so on, and so forth. But if you take that train of thought to its logical conclusion- as Coiny or Taco could do -that would mean that Golf Ball could surface at *any* time, from right now to the very end of the universe, however far off that may be.
What incentive did she have to come on out, after all? Given the fact that even Tennis Ball was unable to get her out of there, it seems like she *really* doesn't wanna be there, be out in the open. And the reasons as to why that is are rather evident to anyone that knows here, even if just as a tiny speck that's always watching from far away. Obviously, she wasn't gonna go out here to talk to *others*, especially without a fight.
So, what other options were there? She and all the other living objects don't really have a need for food; Pin could recall from one of GB's long-winding lectures, her futile attempts at educating the masses, that they don't really need to eat that often. Some length of time that can be measured in years, if she recalls it correctly; she didn't have much faith in that, since *nobody* actually took that sport globule seriously. Point is, she won't be forced to go out to forage or hunt or whatever. Given the nature of her little base of operations, even when she *does* need to eat, odds are she won't be making the risky journey; it's probably safe to assume that she had some food (or something that looks like it) stored up inside, for situations *exactly* like these. So, once again, that's a no on needing to go out to the store to buy food or whatever. From there, the pushpin could assume a bunch of other things: she probably won't be going out to drink water, or breathe fresh air, or bask in the sunlight, or any of those other things. She's a recluse, after all.
In theory, in *theory*, it did seem like Pin and her children were gonna be waiting out here for... forever. Golf Ball wasn't going anywhere, they weren't going anywhere, and the only way they could be urged to go out is if the other wasn't out there. That's... *rather* unfortunate. Their itineraries seemed to be set in stone: they were gonna remain exactly as they were, as the sun and moon continued along their usual arc, as the Earth continued to turn, as the universe continued its existence all around them. The only ways this could seemingly change seemed to be awfully unlikely or awfully far into the future: an earthquake could suddenly occur and trigger the collapse of the base, or another group of people suddenly come across Team Not, or some completely different third thing tips the scales in a completely different way. But natural phenomena like that seem to only occur once in a blue moon, and the odds of people randomly bumping into each other in an area this vast are extremely unlikely (if you're willing to forget all the times it *has* happened, anyway), and so...
Well, perhaps there was *one* way to speed things along.
Living beings get bored. They get bored *all* the time. That's one of the many, *many* things that they've had to contend with on a daily basis; that's part of the reasons they joined the Battle for Dream Island, among many, *many* other things. Golf Ball, though she is self-aware and loathes that fact with a passion, is also susceptible to that boredom. She may be *far* less prone to succumbing than everyone else, having built up a tolerance for it through all her years (it seemed like years, anyhow) of silently waiting around, but unless GB had managed to turn herself into an emotionless, soulless robot (and evidence doesn't really point in that direction), she is *still* prone to it, however unlikely it may be. And these conditions *definitely* aren't the best in maintaining that attitude; she and Tennis Ball clearly haven't had the best of times, that underground space probably doesn't have much room to wander about in, and she can only think about so much. The world will continue on without her, whether she likes it or not, and from what they've learned, she probably doesn't want to take the option of 'or not'. Golf Ball didn't seem like she was going out any time soon, but at the same time, she... *was*.
