Firey and Snowball just kept on walking.
And walking.
An hour passed, then two, then perhaps a few more. The sun continued on its usual arc along the sky, and along the way, the two kept themselves busy by talking about... whatever they felt like talking about. That's how they did things back in the good ol' days, the days before the Battle for Dream Island, before all this chaos. Back then, you had nothing to entertain yourself with but the blue sky, green grass, and the dozen or so other lost souls you could mess around with. With a whole lot of *nothing* at their disposal, the go-to method of relieving boredom for most of them was just... talking. Talking about whatever they felt like talking about. Talking about stuff they've seen, they've heard, they've felt, whatever. Talking about things that may or may not be unique, perhaps things that they've already talked about plentifully. *Anything* to occupy their mind, or whatever did all the thinking up there, if any. Just keep on going, keep on talking, keep pretending that everything's just fine, that there's *nothing* wrong about spending your days in these barren green fields, doing absolutely nothing of note, hanging out with these living objects that you never seem to quite be on good terms with. All was well. Everything is fine.
Totally.
Firey wasn't having it, though. "Where are we going, exactly?" He'd ask. "What do you think?" Snowball grumbled. "We're going back to Dream Island! Didn't I already tell you that?" "You did." The flame replied. "It's just... I don't think you know the way there." "I *know* this is the right way!" The mound of snow fired back. "I just know it! It's only a matter of time!" The fire raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say-" "If *you're* so confident that I'm wrong, then why don't you prove it, huh?" The angry little sphere continued. "Where do *you* think Dream Island is?"
Ellipsis.
The orange conflagration remained silent and unmoving for a little while, as if SB's threatening gaze actually froze him solid. After a little while of this, however, he'd start spinning around ever so slowly, one step at a time, before facing somewhere entirely different.
"...There." He'd point directly forward. "*That's* where Dream Island is." Not wanting to get bothered any more, he immediately began marching towards the horizon. Snowball wasn't all that amused, however, and quickly went after him, staring him down the entire time. "And how do *you* know *that*?" He'd ask. "Well, TB once told me about wind patterns, how the breeze tends to-" The few acres of snow groaned. "*Again* with this talk of TB?" He'd interject. "I thought I told you to cut it out! He doesn't know *anything*! Are you on my side or not?" "I *am*." Firey replied. "Why do you think I'm doing this?" He'd shake his head. "Point is, the wind is largely blowing in one direction because of the Earth, uh... doing something. Spins around, I think?"
Ellipsis.
"There wasn't really much to do when we were first walking to the Island." He continued. "Everyone was too busy talking about what might be there, and I, uh..." He'd roll his eyes. "Instead of getting bored out of my mind, I took note of which direction the wind was mostly blowing during the trip. Given that it tends to blow in the same direction across a large area, I'm *somewhat* confident that Dream Island is... that way." He'd point forward yet again.
All those fancy words entered one ear and exited straight out the other. To Snowball, it may as well have been static; nothing but pure, incomprehensible junk. Perhaps it really was, perhaps he's just lying to sound smart (because that's *apparently* something people take pride in), but he wouldn't know, since he wasn't that bozo-brain bossy-bot.
"...Whatever." He'd shake his head. "That doesn't prove anything. You just picked a direction at random, and now we're going there; for all we know, we could be going *away*-" "How do *you* know that your direction was right?" The flame asked. "I remember you saying that you didn't know where it was."
