SIDUNG (Highlander Series 01)

CHAPTER 03

The ceremony started, naka upo ako sa isang upuan malapit sa carpet kung saan dadaan ang mga abay at ang ikakasal. I wave my hand at Aki when I saw him with his partner. Ganda nong partner niya to be honest. Nag pogi pose ito na kina upside down smile ko. I bring out my phone and take a picture at him. He angled his face and pose so I immediately click the camera and half raised my arm na naka thumbs up saying it's done.

The ceremony goes on. While I was busy watching someone approaches me, he sit in the vacant seat beside me, I stamp a smile at him before looking in front again. It's a garden wedding, hindi ko alam kung bakit, malapit lang naman ang simabahan daw nila dito pero mas pinili nila ang ganitong set up.

While others are busy watching the ceremony others also are busy butchering, cooking and preparing the food so that after the ceremony ay ready na ang mga pagkain. I really love how the bayanihan work each in every province here in Cordillera, hindi lang patungkol sa mga ganitong okasyon, tuwing anihan din ng mga palay, gulay ganon sama sama sila. And don't expect some thing in return because ang kapalit non ay tutulong din sila.

"Gayyem mos Aki kayman? (Nga pala boyfriend si Aki?)" The guy beside me suddenly ask. Napa tingin ako sa kanya.

"Haan (hindi)" natatawa kung saad.

"Sino ngen? (Eh ano?)" Nagtataka pero natatawa niyang tanong saakin.

"Barkadak lang suna (kaibigan ko lang siya)" I answered.

He made a look, hindi siya naniniwala sa aking sinagot. Ano ba to? Tatanong tanong tapos di maniniwala? Sabagay sino nga naman ang di magtataka sa ganitong sitwasyon diba?. But at least I am telling the truth.

"Promise, barkadak lang tet ewa (promise, kaibigan ko lang talaga siya)" sabi ko rito.

"Aah siya adi (Ahhh okay)" aniya saka tinuon din ang atensyon sa harapan para maunod ng ceremonya.

Tahimik kaming nanonood, the girl was smiling so wide when he faced his partner, the guy also did the same thing. Their precious time indeed, everyone witness how this two became one right now. With all the ups and downs they face? that others didn't know. Every people should know everyone deserves a man who will stay beside you no matter what happen, through thick n' thin. In any situation he is always there watching you, protecting you and helping you. And you should also do the same thing to be fair in this unfair world.

I never had a relationship before, never in my life that I imagine being with someone and thinking that living with him in the future. I do crushes but not to the point where I want them to be my boyfriend. I don't know why, but I really weird for me seeing myself with someone thinking that I am into him. Like....you know maybe it's not yet the right time to that is why I am bitter.

Biglang mag kumalabit saakin dahilan para mapa tingin ako sa aking likod. I saw Aki sitting there, kanina pa ba siya jan?. Tumingin din sa likod ang lalake sa aking tabi. "Nanas Aki, sinkat ta adi (wow ang Aki, palit tayu)" tumayo ito at walang nagawa si Aki kundi ang tumayo habang patawa tawa na lumipat ng upuan.
