Atlantis

You were my own kind of perfection
Never realized you were deception
You showed me pretension and condescension
Yet I was blinded with my affection

He was my Atlantis
My own definition of alluring beauty
Never made me wonder what else is there to see
Slowly drowning in the vast blue sea.

My Atlantis, a kingdom so majestic
He who led me to the isle of mystique
A world so poetic
A place filled with magic

Crystal gates and diamond doors
Flowers of which I adore
Drawing me down to the ocean floor
Silently trapping me forevermore

He was my Atlantis
My world, my kingdom that had befallen
One that had to fall
Just to rebuild myself and stand up tall

You were my perfect Atlantis
but clearly something was amiss
and although I was happy with you
I found myself the day I lost you
