Namjoon sneaked up behind Jin in the library, desperately hoping that his hyung would hear him out.

"Professor Jin... Jin hyung, please just listen," Namjoon called out, his voice filled with anticipation. Jin entered the staff room, and Namjoon followed closely behind. The room was empty, with most professors and students already gone.

"What do you want, Mr. Kim?" Jin finally stopped and turned to face Namjoon, his anger was visible.

"I-I need the notes," Namjoon said, flashing an awkward smile as he noticed Jin's piercing gaze.

"Mr. Kim, stop following me," Jin said in a cold tone. Namjoon took a few steps closer, causing Jin to stepped back until his back pressed against the wall.

"Then stop avoiding me, Jin hyung," Namjoon pleaded, his voice filled with desperation. Jin couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Namjoon.

"Mr. Kim, I'm your professor, so let's keep our relationship professional," Jin said rudely. Namjoon clenched his jaw, frustration on his face. He grabbed Jin's arms, causing the elder to look up into Namjoon's intense gaze.

"I know it's my fault, but can't you give me a chance, Jin? I've been asking for forgiveness for a year, but you've never listened," Namjoon said, his tone filled with pain.

"I've moved on, and it's better for you to do the same," Jin replied harshly, pushing Namjoon away. Namjoon clenched his jaw, his emotions boiling over. He pinned Jin against the wall.

"Move on? Seriously, Jin? You know how much I love you, and I know you feel the same. I promise I'll earn your forgiveness and make you confess your feelings," Namjoon said, his voice laced with determination.

"That shit ain't gonna happen, Namjoon. You have no idea how much pain I went through when you just up and disappeared. And now you expect me to act like nothing's changed after four damn years?" Jin's anger blazed as he let out all the hurt and sadness he had been holding onto for so long.

Namjoon knew it was all his fault, so he let his head fall onto Jin's shoulder, his voice softening as he spoke. "I'm sorry, Jin. Please forgive me. I love you," he whispered, his words hitting Jin right in the feels.

"It's too late, Mr. Kim. I should go now," Jin said, pushing Namjoon away gently. He gathered his things and wiped away the tears that had welled up, making sure Namjoon didn't see the raw emotions on his face.

"You should go too, the weather's shitty," Jin added as he turned to leave the staff room.

A small smile tugged at the corners of Namjoon's lips. "I know you love me, Jin. You care about me. And believe me, I'm gonna bust my ass to earn your love and forgiveness," he said, his smile growing as he walked away.
