Yoongi's body wasn't moving

Yoongi's body wasn't moving. He was just breathing, which meant he was alive. He was alive even after this accident, but God was unfair because no one was there to help him—no one.

Even if someone had come there, no one would have gone to check if the person was alive or dead because the bike was scattered in so many pieces. The blood on the road was proof of a serious accident. The car that was parked there was also in bad condition.

Who would save him? Who would be his savior?

Flashback end.

Yoongi put his palms over his eyes, trying to stop himself from crying when Jimin hugged him. Yoongi rested his chin on Jimin's shoulder, wrapping his arms around Jimin's thin waist. They totally forgot that they were in university; for now, no one cared about this.

"Why was I so stubborn? Why did I even take her with me? Mom and Dad were right; I shouldn't have gone. If I hadn't gone that day, this would never have happened. It's because of me. I don't know how much pain she went through," Yoongi said, his eyes filled with tears, while Jimin made soothing circles on his back.

"It's not your fault, Yoon. You didn't know what would happen. The car hit you from behind; it's not your fault. It was an accident, and Yuna is safe," Jimin reassured him as he pulled away.

Jimin cupped Yoongi's face, checking to see if he was okay because something was haunting him. Something from the past.

"Yoon... I wish I could have seen your face that day. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer..." Jimin said, and Yoongi's brows arched in curiosity.

"What do you mean?" Yoongi asked, placing his own hand on Jimin's hand, which rested on his cheek.

"Who saved you, Yoon?" Jimin asked, wondering if Yoongi remembered anything.

"I don't know, Jimin-ah. I regained consciousness after one month of the accident, and they told me I was in a coma. My legs, my hand—everything was fractured. I was almost dead," Yoongi said, and Jimin could feel tears welling up in his eyes. He had never felt such pain in his heart hearing about someone's bad days, but this time it wasn't just someone; it was his own husband. Was he falling for him?

"I know, Yoon. I know how injured you were," Jimin replied, and Yoongi widened his eyes, realizing that he had met Jimin in university. But how did he know?

"How?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin tightened his grip on Yoongi's cheek.

"H-Hangang Bridge, right? Date 9 March," Jimin's voice trembled as he remembered. Yoongi nodded his head slowly.

"I was 17 years old, about to turn 18 in two months." As Jimin began to tell his story, Yoongi was stunned, eager to hear how Jimin was connected to all of this.

Flashback

Seventeen-year-old me stepped outside my house with car keys in my hands, while my parents were telling me not to go for a drive, especially not here in Seoul.
