AUTHOR’S POV ONE YEAR LATER
365 days passed. Twelve full months. And life… was different now. In the most beautiful way.
Min Yoongi was no longer just a fresh graduate. He was now CEO Min Yoongi — young, powerful, respected.
Everyday he walked into the glass office building in a black suit, holding coffee in one hand and a phone in the other. His voice was low, confident. His eyes didn’t miss anything.
He handled the entire hotel chain like he was born for it. From long boardroom meetings to last-minute international deals — he nailed it all like a pro.
And last month, something big happened. He received his first Business Excellence Award.
On stage, wearing a perfectly tailored black suit, he stood with calm eyes and a small smile. He held the golden award in one hand and the mic in the other.
The crowd clapped loud. Cameras flashed.
Yoongi thanked his staff, his loyal team, his family, and lastly — “My husband who makes coffee when I forget I’m human. And yeah… scold me too for overworking.”
Everyone laughed softly. Everyone clapped louder.
And Jimin?
He stood in the crowd, hidden among the people. He didn’t say a word. But his eyes were glassy. He cried quietly, biting his lip and smiling proudly.
And Jimin — he was no less.
The university called him the “Heart of the Computer Department”. Every student loved him. Every professor respected him.
This year, he was honored as the Best Professor of the Year. His name was written in golden letters on a glass plaque. The university held a small ceremony. Everyone clapped. Jin even shouted loudly.
Jin was the happiest, and for once, there was no jealousy — only love for his friend.
And Yoongi?
Yoongi literally made Jimin’s certificate his phone wallpaper. He stared at it like it was his own award.
“I’ll show our kids one day,” he told Jimin proudly.
Jimin choked on air and hit his arm. “We don’t have kids.”
