"you plan to help me but you're not telling me in which aspect you're planning to help me?" Senku looked quite perplexed at the woman who sat on the floor busy putting her sandals on.
"It'll take some time which is why I don't want to have you expect everyday" she shrugged, then she looked up with eyes filled with something he couldn't quite name.
"This may end up a failure all together but trying won't hurt, so tell me, how was nitric acid being extracted from the cave back then" such a simple question but Senku felt like he was falling through a loop of time.
"It was dripping from the ceiling" despite his suspicions, he answered, plus he was quite sure he might've had the right idea already.
"How much did bats change while we were out... Or was it a geologic phenomena? Because bats don't poop on the ceiling just because they hang upside down" she thought about it before shrugging "maybe they acquired a non gravitational poop or something" she giggled.
Senku shook his head and stared at the girl.
"Are you sure you want to try this?" He asks which girl tilted her head at. She smiled lightly, she doesn't do it often but with this modern friend, she does.
"Animals, I like them, so even though it'll turn out the wrong way, at least I'll be able to conduct some type of research on them despite not liking having theoretical shits inside my head" she stepped out of the hut.
"I'll be out to hunt" she waved and he stared at her back.
"Don't die" he bid. She looked over her shoulder and laughed.
"If it's an animal danger, I'll be fine" she replied once more before disappearing from his sight. He wasn't quite sure how this woman was going to make something as precious as that but he was quite sure that trying isn't something that'll harm them.
I don't know what you're planning but if you make this a success, the world will all come back and you'll unwillingly become one of us, a scientists.
He grinned before jumping down from the hut and his day must also continue. He wasn't sure why he didn't think that it'd be logical to let a woman who's not confirmed to be with his enemy but he felt at ease for some unknown reason, to the man it was illogical but since his guts are flipping themselves in a good way, he was able to get himself to believe in a little luck.
Plus, it's not like I'm leaving her without a scientific persuasion. I'll convert you fully onto our side, Y/n.
"Senku! What's next now?" Chrome, first thing in the morning once again.
"Huh? Where's Y/n?" The boy looked behind him looking left and right trying to spot her odd clothes.
"She went out to research something" Senku simply replied making the boy look at him in surprise and excitement.
"Woah! She's also a scientist?!" Pumped and in awe, Chrome never expected the lazy woman to ever be a scientist.
"Not quite, she's more of someone who talks about animals too much, but in this case... Yeah, we can call her one of us" Senku grinned, quite proud of someone he really doesn't know that much.
...
"Bats feast on fruits and insects which is crucially needed for them to live, and they like caves due to its optimal humidity and stable temperatures" the girl walked along hills and valleys trying to spot at least one perfect looking cave.
Three hours, munching on a random berry which she had been eating before but never really knew what it was. Four hours, trying to tame a random fox that she accidentally met while travelling but it ran. Five hours.
