Day by day time passes and the girl had found herself somewhere she never thought she'd be at.
"Okay so Hiragana and Katakana are both relatively hard in their own ways, but by being able to learn them, we'll have a great opportunity in passing down messages to our descendants" the girl stood in front of kids. A demeanor never seen before once again stands before the adults and teens who had never seen her act in such a way before.
"Is she sick? Is something wrong?" Chrome wondered as she watched the girl smile so softly and even talk so softly in front of the kids. Her eyes weren't as mysterious as they were and this time they could even try and read what lies underneath her cautious orbs.
"She seems better nowadays, did anything in particular happen between the two of you?" Ruri turned to the village chief who was busy crafting what seemed like many light bulbs on the side whilst the winter sky graciously dropped snow.
"No... I don't think it's any of that stuff" Senku glanced at the girl momentarily. Her hands that enveloped another childs hands and both of them cheerfully blowing warm breaths on their cold hands after building a snowman. As they built she taught them how to write the words of the names of what they had just made.
A couple of little girls ran towards her with beautiful flowers in their hands asking her the names of the flowers and how can they write it. Some were talented, some were genuises, some were prodigies and some were normal. But she never took advantage of those things and treated all of the kids fairly.
His mind ran through different things but one that stuck the most is how would she be... If she was a mother?
Senku cleared his mind after realizing his thoughts. Seeing her as a woman preparing food and working hard? Doing groceries and bathing her children? Playing with her children and putting them to sleep?
He felt like he had a drastic change that happened to him, for a moment he had just been thinking of her body and now he has come to a thought that a man would have. Having a wife. He was indifferent on the outside but in the indside he desperately cancelled all his thoughts and he kept working with the older man who he hadn't noticed, had been sneaking glances at him.
"If it's not any of that stuff, then what is?" Kohaku chimed in and the rest of the team had rested their eyes on the working teen boy.
Gen had an idea in mind. And so did old man Kaseki.
"Senku, you're not thinking what I'm thinking are you?" Gen hardened his gaze. Despite the fact that Gen had not spent that much time with the girl, he is her work buddy who he is accompanied with most of the time they had a labour where she was present in the village.
"Whatever you're thinking is what I am thinking" Senku frowned. It wasn't a nice thought.
Gen spared a look towards the girl and his face couldn't be read. Was it worry or was it anger? No one around them could tell.
"That girl is very quiet and solemn most of the time I see her" Kaseki suddenly came in with his own thoughts.
"Solemn? I never thought of that at all, I've been thinking that she's just been always that way" Chrome scratched his head and the old man looked his way in a serious manner.
"That's what is concerning" he muttered and the rest of the group were silent.
"Suika! How do you write Suika?" The group had turned their heads towards the enthusiastic girl and then the primitives looked towards the modern aged people.
"What does it mean if she's suddenly happy?" And most of them turned to Gen for answers, even despite his precious mind that could answer such a simple question, he hesitated.
