Without kids, Y/n was more back into her soulless self. And while she might've been looking like she was all dead inside again, truly her fingers were gripping hard on a certain someone's ear.

"Aza- ow! OW! OW! OWWWW! I'M SORRY!" Gen was crying but no remorse was to be seen from the woman.

"What a large mouth you have to be gossiping such things" she slapped the boys head after letting him go, Gen stayed on the floor of the observatory in a fetal position trying to protect himself from the evil woman.

"One more lie from you and I'm never helping you with anything anymore" she glared before walking away to sit in front the window again just to stare at the outside.

Gen was quick to scurry away before he could even be scolded by another person. Senku.

"If you wanna stare at the forest, why not use the second floor?" Senku offered to the girl who didn't look at him.

"I don't want to, you'll be down here then I don't wanna stare outside alone" she replied, she simply wanted to stare at the beautiful nature while the sound of the man working accompanied the silence.

"Then I'll work up there" Senku offered and the girl finally glanced at him. His face was closer than she thought, sure she knew he walked over but to the point that their faces could touch after any movement wasn't the proximity she was expecting.

"What are you doing?" She raised a brow, he chuckled and stood straight before collecting the blueprint on his table and walked towards the ladder that lead to the upstairs where the telescope was.

Y/n nodded and followed behind, so now Senku was lying on the floor working while the girl stared at the beautiful sky. She was never one to so fascinated at the sky but when it was as beautiful as how it looked now, she was one to be completely immersed.

"Having fun?" She didn't know how much time passed while she had been staring at the open sky while snow fell on her but to the point where Senku had finished working, it must've been a couple of hours.

"The sky, it's clear and beautiful in the stone world" she replied and he nodded.

"Without too many lights blinding our eyes and pollution fogging up the sky, the stars are clear and shining" Senku walked over to her clearing the snow that had accumulated on her hair.

"About that dating thing..." He started and the girl raised a brow.

"You can ignore it, the kids will forget about it in a few days" she assured him but unbeknownst to her, he wasn't talking about it.

Now a part where Senku regrets everything that comes out of his mouth happened.

"Do you want to establish it?"

So slow, the time went so slow. Y/n could swear that everything went so slow that she couldn't process his words fast enough to be able to reply immediately.

Senku faked a cough at her silence, looking out the window in embarrassment and regret.

"F-forget about that"

Something he swore to keep hidden indeed didn't get past even halfway into the journey to reviving all of humanity. He was panicking inside his mind he didn't know what to do but then she spoke.

"What even are we?" She asked making the boy look at her with wide eyes, but hers continued to be unreadable.

It was like reading small letters whilst having dyslexia. It was scary and unsettling. It felt so close yet at the same time it was unclear, a blur.

What am I doing? What am I asking?

"What do you mean?" It was no surprise that he would get confused at her words but again she spoke.
