Chapter 46
Alex's POV
*at the reception*
We had finished with the formalities and the dinner and now it was time for the dances.
I was already crying tears of joy, but when I thought about the fact that Izzy or I wouldn't have my dad to have the 'father-daughter' dance with I started crying over that, too.
They called both of us couples out onto the dance floor for our first dances and played the slow song we had agreed on.
Niall smiled down at me, but he noticed that my expression had fallen somewhat.
"What's wrong, love?" He whispered. I sniffled a bit before explaining to him how much I wished my dad could be here.
He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.
"It's okay, Al. He's probably looking down on us all right now with a huge grin. His daughter looking stunning and getting married at the same time as her best friend, who was also like his other daughter." He said, gently stroking my hair.
"Thanks, Niall. I love you so much." I said, smiling up at him.

Niall's POV
It broke my heart to know how badly she wanted her dad here, how much she missed him, but I knew he was looking down at her with pride. I was glad she didn't dwell on it too long, though.
After our couple dance, we stayed let the reception go on for another hour before deciding we needed to go catch our flights.
We were going to the same airport as Louis and Izzy were heading to Paris and Alex and I were off to Hawaii.
We all left in the same limo and I smiled at the sight of Izzy and Alex laughing and talking to each other. Louis and I shared a moment of shared pride in our women as before they brought us into the conversation.
"I think it's going to be a girl, what about you?!" Alex asked, referring to the baby growing in Izzy's baby bumped tummy.
"I don't care what gender. I'm just ecstatic to be having a baby with my amazing, beautiful wife." Louis said, causing Izzy to blush.
Alex giggles and wriggled her eyebrows at the couple. I loved her so much and I don't think she would ever understand how much.
