There was a phenomenon known as soulmarks that was present in the world. These marks served as a way for people to find their soulmates, and for most individuals, their mark would appear when they turned 18. However, there were also those who had yet to receive their mark, leaving them still searching for their soulmate.
Win groaned in frustration, dreading the fact that he would be turning 18 tomorrow and receiving his mark earlier than expected. Meanwhile, his best friend Dean could only offer some words of encouragement, having been waiting for his own soulmark since the middle of last year. "Man, just try to deal with it," Dean said, trying to ease Win's worries.
"Sorry, I forgot about that," Win apologised, knowing how hard it was to wait for something that seemed out of reach. Win and Dean had been best friends for as long as they could remember, and their bond was unbreakable. They always had each other's backs, no matter what.
By the next day, Win was dreading waking up and not being able to see his soulmark, but when he woke up, he had his soulmark on his wrist exactly where one would be, meaning his Soulmate would soon receive theirs. That morning Win couldn't stop smiling as if something within ignited into a flame of happiness. Dean, his best friend, stormed into his house and showed Win his wrist and then said, "I have my mark. My soulmate will have theirs soon." Both Best friends celebrated all their worries away by being as happy as can be knowing that they were so close in being happy with their soulmate.
Win says to Dean, "Lets go to a Cafe, I'm excited and just want to get out of the house for awhile, you in?" And Dean agrees. So they both buck up and head out to a beautiful Cafe run by a beautiful family. Today was going to be a good day.
