[EP 2] Ishan Ne Bola, Chance Hai!!

Two or three days after maybe, in the middle of the night I suddenly received a call from Rohit bhaiya. I was worried thinking if he was in any problem.

Me: Hello, bhaiya. Thik ho?

Rohit: Main thik hoon... Par tujhse kuch baat karni thi.

Me: Haan, bolo na.

Rohit: Mere ghar aaja.

Me: Abhi?

Rohit: Haan, abhi ke abhi.

Me: Ruko, aa rhi hoon.

I've never heard his voice so serious. He has always been a jolly guy. I rushed my car to his house thinking maybe it was some sort of emergency.

Rohit bhaiya received me from the door. He was trying hard to keep his face expressionless. But it seemed that for some reason he was suppressing a huge amount of excitement inside, just to hide from me.

He took me to the rooftop and made me sit there.

There was a swimming pool there and a big comfy couch beside it where we sat. It was a cozy atmosphere there, I found it extremely soothing.

Ritika bhabi came with coffee cups for three of us. We sat together, they two sat right in front me. I was clueless what they called me for. As I am a doctor, people don't always call me to give good news.

Me: Bhaiya, Bhabi, kya hua please mujhe bologe aap log?

Rohit: Aaj main teri bhabi ke saath teri Shubman wali story share ki. Maine Ritika ko bola ke mujhe lagta hain ki tujhe uncle aunty ke baat ko maan ke shaadi kar leni chahiye kyu ki Shubman possible nahi hai. Iske jawab mein usne mujhe aisa kuch bola jo mujhe soch ne pe majboor kiya. Ritika ke bola ke agar shaadi ke pehle koi mujhe bolta ke kisi aur se shaadi karlo, phir kya main unki baat maanta ya phir Ritika ke liye saari jindagi kuara rehta.

Me: *curiously leaning towards him* Aap ne kya bola phir?

Ritika: *smiles* Janab bole ki woh kuara maar jate, phir bhi dusri ko nahi ghusne dete jindagi mein.

Me: *giggles and claps hands* Ab samjhe bhaiya?? Baat khud pe aati hai to kaisa lagta hai?

Rohit: Even the thought of it hit me so hard, that tabhi maine Ishan ko call kiya aur usko teri puri story batai. Maine usse puchha ki is there anything we can do about it?

I was shocked. I did not expect this to go so far.

Me: K-kya bola unhone phir?

Ritika: Good news di!

My blood maybe started flowing through my arteries at 1000m/s speed, I instantly began sweating. What are they saying? What could possibly be a good news?

Rohit: Rakkho tumhari good news. *grabs my shoulders* Nish, meri pyari behen, tu dhyaan se meri baat sunn.

Me: *breathing to calm the fuck down* Bolo.

Rohit: Ishan, main aur teri bhabi pura der ghanta phone pe baat ki jis ka summary main 3 points me ab tujhe batane wala hoon. Pehla point, Shubman ko leke Sachin sir thoda bohut serious shayad hain, par Sara ko lekar Shubman shayad abhi bhi utna serious nahi hai... aisa Ishan ko lagta hai.

Ritika: Aur Ishan Shubman ka sabse accha dost hai yeh tumhe pata hi hoga... Agar Ishan ne bola ke Shubman serious nahi hai, matlab sach mein chance hai!

I was so shocked that my brain was having a hard time processing even a single word they were saying.

Me: Kya keh rhe ho aap log?!?!

Rohit: Aur do points baki hai, dhyan de! Dusra point, Shubman ka manager ka pair tut gaaya hain last Thursday night.

Me: *confused af* To usse mera kya matlab?

Rohit: Wahi to hai hamara teesra aur most important point, mujhe pata hai tu ab free nahi hai, par tu ek company ka boss hai, tu jab kabhi bhi free ho ja sakti hai. Ek mahina chhutti le le. Humara team kuch hi din baad Australia ke saath series ke liye nikal rahe hain.

Me: *scratching my head* Main kuch samjha nahi...

Rohit: Gadhe ki teesri aulad! Tujhe Shubman ka manager bana rahe hai hum!

Me: Kyaa?!?

Ritika: *super excited* Ishan ne bola usne sab samval liya hai udhar. Tumhara ek madeup CV banakar approve bhi karwa liya hai BCCI se. Tumhe bas jaa ke kal se join karna hai.

Me: *taking a lot time to process* Aap log itna fast kaise ho? Indian Flash ho kya?

Rohit: Sab samajh liya? Aab tu bol tera reaction kya hai.

Me: Mujhe nahi pata ki aap aur Ishan bhaiya kya soch ke mere liye itna kuch kiya. Yeh saahi hai ya galat hai yeh to mujhe bhi nahi pata. Par main high hopes rakhne walon mein se nahi hoon. Agar result me kuch na bhi hua, phir bhi I will be satisfied bcz at least I will be able to spend some time around the person love, unhe samne se dekhne ka mauka milega, yahi mere liya zyaada hai.

Rohit: Usse bhi badi baat yeh hai ke 4 saal ki human psychology ki degree leke kya ukhad liya tune agar ek ladka nahi pata payi toh?

Ritika: Kitni pyari bacchi hai hamari! Sirf Shubman kya uska pura khaandan patega.

Me: *scratching the back of my head* Mujhe pe confidence kuch jyada nahi ho rha aap dono ka?

Rohit: Ek sach batau?

Me: Batao!

Rohit: Mereko, Ishan ko, Cheeku ko... I mean team mein kisi ko bhi Sara ke saath Shub ka relation kuch khas pasand nahi hai.

I end up laughing at the way he says it. Watching me laugh, Rohit bhaiya becomes more enthusiastic to motivate me.

Rohit: Dekh bhai... Tu shishe mein khud ko dekh, kisi bhi angle se Tendulkar ki beti se kam lagti hai kya? Shayad tu thodi si tomboy hai, toh kya farak padta hai? Woh hogi pretty, tu bhi to cool hai.

Ritika: Aur aaj kal ke ladke Papa ki pariyon se jyada self-dependant ladkiyon ke taraf attracted hote hai.

Me: *head is buffering* Aisa kya?

Rohit bhaiya and Ritika bhabi looked at each other, then looked at me and nodded with smiles I could not disbelieve.

I hugged them together.

Me: Aap log bohut jyaada sweet ho. 23 saal beet gaye mere jindagi ke, ek psychiatrist hu, par mere feelings ke bare me aaj tak itna kisi ne nahi socha.

Ritika: Rohit, I told you she's gonna be so freaking happy!

Rohit: Bacche... tu ne itni kam umar mein itni mehnat aur tarakki ki hai na jindagi mein, tere liye agar kuch kar pawu yeh hamare liye bohut hain.

Me: *hugging tighter* Bhai bhabi, nahi thi na meri, iss liye khuda ne shayad aapko bheja hoga.
