Breaking down the barriers

Jimin had eaten a bit but felt full so sat back.
"C'mon Jimin there's loads here," Jungkook said aware that the other had only eaten a small amount.
"I'm fine I feel full." Jimin smiled
"Hmmm,now does that mean we are pigs then if we eat more...,ok I won't have anymore either."
Tae and Jin a piece of meat hovering near their mouths looked dismayed,not wanting to stop but not wanting to be seen as greedy either.
Jungkook could see Jimin was wrestling with this new problem,then his innate kindness couldn't see his friends stopping because of him.
"Maybe a little more," he murmured surprised when Jungkook found him a smaller piece to eat.
"Thank you...."
"So are you looking forward to the break after the three concerts ?" Tae asked
"I'm visiting my family," Jin said
"I'll look around for some more bits for my apartment," Tae laughed
"Your place is like a designers dream house ," Jungkook joked .
"At least my place looks lived in,hey Jimin what's your place like,we haven't seen it?"he asked
"My place,well it's...,I suppose you would call it empty,my dad does he asks when am I going to make it into a home......I guess for me it's just a place to sleep and eat,you can see it anytime none of you need an invite," he shrugged
The other three looked at each other guiltily.
"How about now? We can take beers back chill out..."
Jimin was surprised," you sure....I mean you might be bored..."
"Nope let's go..." Jungkook urged so paying the bill they all left and Jimin directed them to his place.
Upon entering the three saw a nice apartment with sparse furnishings,one sofa and a chair with a coffee table.
The kitchen was spick and span.
"Have you even cooked in here? It's so.....tidy" Jin muttered.
"I do.....occasionally....,it's easier to go eat a takeaway unless my friends come around then I will cook."
"You still friends with Taemin?" Tae asked
"Yes we meet up occasionally,"
"I always thought he wanted to get in your pants," the other replied.
"Tae!" Jungkook said,not knowing why he felt uncomfortable at Tae's words.
"What we know Jimins preferences,it's not like it would be wrong ?"
"It's Jimins privacy though!"
"The answer is I'm not sure but he's been a good friend." Jimin said shyly
Jungkook just stared at his rosy cheeks and realised how handsome Jimin actually was.
Jimin played host getting glasses and putting nibbles in dishes.
"So you didn't say what your doing on your break Jimin?" Tae asked
"Me?er not much,I suppose I'll just go to the gym and dance studio."
"But you do that normally!" Jin protested
"Well I don't know what else to do so it makes sense ,keep me fit."
"I'm going on a road trip,wanna come?" Jungkook asked unexpectedly .
"Me?...with you? But won't you be with Tae?"
"What choosing arty  house stuff,no thanks,"
"Yer go with him Jimin,keep him out of trouble," Tae laughed.
"You wouldn't mind?"
"Why should I?" Tae asked confused
"But you and Jungkook....."
Now it was Jungkooks turn to look confused
"Me and Tae what?"
Jin suddenly burst out laughing,
"Omg Jimin you think they're a couple?!?!"
"Ew!no really," Tae said
"Hey what's with the ew? I'd be a good catch....not with you though,it would be like dating my brother!"
Jimin stared at them both in shock he'd been so convinced...,they were always hanging out,hugging even sitting on the others lap.
"You really thought we were a couple?"
Jimin nodded," you're so.....close"
"We play up to the Taekook shippers yer,because it amuses us...."
"Oh I thought you didn't like ships ....i thought that's why you got annoyed with me when I ......" he stopped realising to go further would make the others uncomfortable...." Anyone want another beer....I'll go get some."
Jimin hurried off and Jungkooks eyes followed him finally understanding why Jimin had distanced himself from them,he'd thought that he'd butted in to a non existent relationship with him and Tae ,that Jungkook shoving him away angrily was because he was involved with someone else.
As Tae and Jin were chatting he got up and went to the kitchen seeing Jimin head down holding onto a counter.
"Jimin?"
"Oh er sorry I'll just get the beers ...."
He went to the fridge pulling out cold beers and shutting the door arms full he turned to find Jungkook blocking his way. He looked up warily .
"Jimin,I was a dick to you back then,a brat,you were quite huggy and I wasn't used to it so I shoved you away,it obviously gave you the impression I didn't want you around me because that's when you started distancing yourself isn't it,because of my juvenile behaviour."
"I-it's fine,I was probably to wrapped up in the fans shipping us then so I got too involved and carried it over into our private lives...I didn't see how much you hated it until you got so annoyed and I apologise for making you feel uneasy."
"There you go again taking all the blame on yourself....i see now you were trying to find your place as we all were but my aggressiveness was uncalled for,I miss you hanging out with us."
"You do....I'm not really that person I was then,I'm pretty boring really."
"You have a charm about you don't put yourself down,"
"Hey we're dying of thirst in here!"
Jimin smiled and brushed past Jungkook who watched his retreating figure,when did Park Jimin walk so sexy ?he mused.
Later in the day Jin raided Jimin's kitchen,cooking a tasty meal which they all praised.
"Jimin it's a crime not to cook in here it's so well laid out and yet your pans are hardly used,I may have to keep coming over when I try new recipes..." Jin said
"Anytime you want Jin..."
After cleaning up they had a few more drinks.
"I don't think I can drive,I've had too much.." Jungkook said lolling back on the sofa.
"Erm...it's late...if you all want you can stay but we'd have to share rooms,or I can sleep on the sofa Jin have my room and you two share ?"
"It's your place why should you use the sofa when there's two double beds,you stay in your room and we will do rock paper scissors winner shares with you," Jungkook said.
Jimins heart raced as he watched the three then ,
"Yes! I won I share with Jimin which is good cos you two are bigger and will take up more room!" Jungkook laughed.
"Come on Tae let's leave the champion here!" Jin sniffed getting up.
"Erm I have a few overlarge T shirts if you want to use them to sleep in,oh and shorts that are baggy? They are in the top drawer in the spare room.theres wash stuff in the bathroom and clean towels."
"Thanks Jimin,goodnight,I'll cook breakfast in the morning."
The two disappeared Jimin stood nervously then told Jungkook to follow him.
In his room he rummaged in his closet dragging out some sweatshirts and a plain extra large T shirt.
"Um here,you can use these,I'll let you shower first."
"Thanks but would it be ok not wear a top? I get too hot."
"Oh....ok sure."
Armed with the shorts Jungkook went into the bathroom coming out fifteen minutes later,rubbing his hair dry and showing his muscles chest.
"Hope you don't mind I used one of the new toothbrushes in the cabinet ,you sure are well prepared."
"Oh it just makes sense to buy them bulk...some in the spare room to you know just for....well situations like this." Jimin said his eyes looking everywhere but the body in front of him.
"Jimin are you shy? Your blushing?"
"Me...no I'll go shower....."
He ran into the bathroom hearing Jungkook laugh.
Damn it what was wrong with him,he'd seen the guys in various stages of undress when they changed at concerts...it was just...whenever he was near Jungkook he felt an overwhelming urge to caress those muscles but he could imagine the reaction he'd get!
Hurriedly washing he dried off then walked out wondering how he'd cope with the half naked maknae,but on coming out he saw Jungkook fast asleep on his side.
Grateful for not having to talk he slipped into bed staying right on the edge he knew he sprawled a bit but at least here he wouldn't accidentally touch the other.
He was tired and quickly fell asleep.
As daylight filtered in Jimin woke up feeling warm and cosy until he heard a heartbeat in his ear and his eyes opened quickly.
"Well good morning," a voice above him said and he looked up to see Jungkook staring down at him lying on his chest his hands around the maknae's body.
"Quite the little koala aren't you?"
