"Has he called for a rest? We planned on stopping here." Blake asked the driver.
"Not that I could hear." Our driver replied.
"Have you heard anything?" Pierce asked.
"They were talking about something a long time back, but nothing since then." The driver answered.
"Crown Prince Sun?" Lei called. They rode in silence, but still didn't receive a reply. The driver dared not mention the scene he glimpsed earlier.
"Stop the carriage." Blake ordered. The driver stopped gently over a period of time, likely worried what they'd find inside.
Blake dismounted quickly, he tapped on the side of the carriage and waited for a response. After a moment he stepped up and opened the curtain to peer inside. He instantly closed the curtain and turned around to stare at the people around him. Pierce came forward to see if he was okay. Blake spread his arms out, blocking him from going forward. Confused, Pierce jokingly laughed at his behavior.
"Look at yourself! You'd think you walked into your parents room!" He laughed again. Suddenly his face became more serious as he pushed Blake aside. Had Pierce been anyone other than a Prince, Blake would have probably fought back. Pierce looked inside, his eyes went wide, mimicking Blake's reaction.
"Hey!" Pierce called out, finally waking the Crown Prince who suddenly opened his eyes. Nomi jolted awake at the same time. Looking at our current position then back at the door, she quickly moved in front of Pierce's view, effectively blocking the scene. The Crown Prince carefully moved me, laying me down gently. Pierce was able to look around Nomi, despite her best attempts. "You! You! She's still unconscious?" He accused.
"It's not what it looked like." The Crown Prince trailed off, neither of them bothering with formalities. Nomi sat on the bench, folding her legs to leave space. The Crown Prince walked towards the exit, gently pushing at Pierce to go out first. Nomi followed them out, leaving me alone. I gently gathered energy and channeled it out, think you can pull these simple tricks while I'm around?
There was a small forested area not far behind us, I could sense five archers waiting there. All were skilled, but not good enough with me here. I just needed an opportunity. The archers were probably still trying to figure out which one was the Crown Prince, it was hard to tell at this distance with exact certainty. Especially since they were all behaving so strangely.
"I think we need a doctor to look at her, just from the shoulder, she should be awake by now." Pierce said, concerned. "Are you sure you fixed it?" He asked Lei.
"Yes, I can check on her again. Did anything else happen?" Lei asked, also wondering why I was feigning sleep this long.
"She... " The Crown Prince trailed off not knowing how to answer.
"I was helping her sit up when the carriage jerked, I accidentally dropped her. There's a bump on her head." Nomi stepped forward.
"I'll check on her, wait outside." Lei said. Pierce and Blake stared at Nomi blankly, Pierce put his hand to his head and shook it.
"She is in danger around you." Pierce trailed. Causing a large frown from the Crown Prince.
Lei stepped inside the carriage. I sat up quietly as he watched me. Noticing my hair pin and clasp on the bench nearby, he looked like he wanted to know the back story, but seeing the irritated look in my eyes he waited.
"I need you to keep them over there and away from the carriage for a short time." I said in the quietest whisper.
"You need medicine?" He asked quietly back. I touched my hand to my head, moving the hair aside slightly.
