"This place.." The Crown Prince started, then stopped. "You.." My head tilted slightly left then slightly right as he started and stopped again.

Did I judge incorrectly? I reached out and grabbed his wrist, the pulse was faster than it should be, but I couldn't find anything wrong with him. His other hand came forward to gently push my hand off. He quickly retreated to the pillow where he abruptly sat down and shoved a bite of cold food into his mouth. I eyed him suspiciously before looking at the others, who each in turn moved to their food as if nothing odd had happened since they arrived. I took a seat as well and took a bite.

"Did something happen?" I asked after taking my second bite. They all stared at me blankly.

"You took care of.. those people, in the capital." the Crown Prince narrated.

"Mm." I agreed, taking another bite.

"Then, you came here?" He asked.

"Mm." I agreed again. I watched him, waiting for what happened next.

"Why didn't you come back?" He trailed off. I nearly dropped my food. I stared at him blankly before looking at Blake for guidance. He stared straight down in front of him.

"You have people that care for you, they worry about you. I'm the Demoness of Demon's Peak. You weren't fully awake then, but you should know how others see me. Who I am." I stated simply.

"I don't care what they think of you." He sounded angry.

"As the Crown Prince, you can't be impulsive. In your world I am unknown, so you might not understand, but I am not someone people casually approach." I said rationally.

"I came to bring you back." He stared down at his food while saying it.

Hearing a commotion outside, I ignored his statement and sauntered to the front door. A few people from the storage room stood just outside. They hauled the beds to the front of my gate, but they stood unsure of what to do next. I blinked at them and simply pointed with my hand towards my front door.

Obediently following directions, their bodies trembled despite looking like healthy individuals. I pointed to one group carrying a single bed to go in one door while I pointed the other group in the next direction. As they finished setting up the beds Santi, Lane, and Tiar ran in with the bedding, pulling everything inside on a small cart.

"Sorry we're late, we settled Myria." Tiar bowed quicker than most people could see, she knew I didn't care for such formalities from my maids.

"How is she?" I asked.

"Good, she's doing good." Tiar smiled thoughtfully. I nodded.

She deftly stripped my bedding off and replaced my old blankets with new ones. They were a beautiful red color with small details embroidered throughout. From a distance the bedding was similar to that of a wedding night, only the scattering of nuts and fruit omitted from the scene. My mouth twinged as I held back a laugh, just what did these maids think of all day? Nearby the Crown Prince stared in disbelief, I could sense his hands becoming clammy and sweat beading on the back of his neck without sending my senses out. The urge not to laugh amplified ten fold.

I leaned back to support myself with one arm, my body shifted, suddenly turning seductive. My head tilted to the side and my mouth parted ever so slightly. I stared back at the Crown Prince. A smile slowly formed, my eyes lifted inquisitively.

"Bring me back? Are you confident you can leave first?" I teased in a seductive voice. I knew I shouldn't tease him like this, but my mind had become muddled with his last words. Naturally I counteracted. Upon hearing the comment Tiar suddenly dropped the old bedding she'd been taking out. She quickly picked it back up and hurried out faster.
