The next morning, we were all standing out in what seemed to be Theo's backyard. I was sitting on the edge of the water fountain, Theo was infront of me along with his sister, Tabitha. Jerome was leaning back onto a tree while crossing his arms, making them look thicker. I tried to keep my eyes off of him after last night's "misunderstanding".
Theo started to blabber again, and at that point I should've drowned myself. I rolled my eyes and rested my face in my palms.
"While performing, you have to attract attention. All of it." Theo said, smiling proudly at his sorry excuse for a team.
I looked up at him. "Wait- what? What do you mean performing?" I asked.
Jerome shook his head, scoffing. Then some blonde bitch laughed at me. "You're joking right? You haven't been paying attention to detail have you?"
I stared at her, almost grabbing her by her janky ass hair extension and slamming her face against the concrete of the water fountain. I took a deep breath.
"Instead of making me feel like shit, why don't you try helping instead? Maybe I was going through something. You never know." I said in a tired voice. Then she rolled her eyes
"Me, you and Jerome are going to perform on stage. Jerome will pop out of his disguise and the place will be a hostage party! Theo wants to add power and stuff to his name by acting like some sort of hero."
Then I recognized her. She was Jim's little girlfriend. Or...used to be. Now I had something to use on her. Just not yet.
"What's my role?" I asked Theo.
He smiled. "You and Barbara are just assistants. But I noticed your special relationship with Jerome. You'll be dancing with him."
Gee, who taught him how to script. I shook my head.
"I'm not into dancing." I said. "Me neither." Jerome followed. I looked at him and sighed.
Last night wasn't supposed to be like that. Awkward, angry, kind of scary. I didn't want him to end up hating me. To be honest I didn't even know if he did. Our eyes locked on eachother.
Can we talk? I mouthed. He stared and looked away, pulling out a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it.
"Oh, come on Jerome- I-" Theo started. "I like to keep this place clean, and you keep contaminating it with your burnt oxygen." He said.
Jerome laughed. "Burnt oxygen? Jeez." Theo shook his head.
"Just take a break from the cigarettes, alright? All I ask." He said while putting his hands up. Jerome stared at him and placed the cigarette to his lips.
"Well, let me finish this one." He said, muffled.
I blinked, quickly got up and walked away. Didn't know where, but I also didn't care. Jerome stared at me. He puffed the smoke, flicked the cig and started following me. He seemed a bit mad. He caught up to me and grabbed my wrist.
"Yo." He murmured. I looked up at him.
"What?" I asked.
"Get your ass back over there, I'm not dancing with some chick who looks twice my age." He said sternly while eyeballing Victor, who was standing behind a tree, smiling at him like a dude with eyebags who just got out of babysitting 5 1-year-olds. My eyebrows raised and then furrowed.
"Oh, well I thought you would've loved it." I said sarcastically.
"Okay- Stop this." He glared down at me.
"Stop what-?" I spoke before he cut me off again.
"Stop with the bullshit. Tell your dude to back off. He was standing outside my room last night, I didn't sleep." Jerome complained. Such a baby.
We stared at eachother for a moment. A long moment. I felt hypnotized, under a spell.
Did he really think love wasn't real? Did he love me? I hope it meant something to him. It hurts so bad. I can't believe I let myself fall for him. Now I can't get enough of his attention. To be honest, I like when he gets mad. I like making him mad. FUCK! What was that?! There's no way you just had 8 different thoughts with different meanings all at once. YOU LOVESICK PSYCHO!
The next thing I know, his hands were locked onto mine. He pulled me closer and looked away, still watching Victor, making sure he didn't move.
"Can we go somewhere else?" I asked softly, resting my head on his chest. I could feel everyone's eyes on us. Then I looked up at him. He kept staring at Victor.

*****JEROME'S POV********
I didn't really know how to answer Laura. All I was worried about was getting my head ripped off by her bald ass Wanna-Be security guard. The dude was staring at me like I kidnapped his favorite gun.
What?! I took a deep breath and sighed.
"Yeah." I answered her in a low voice while looking down at her.
Then she looked at Victor and mouthed the words Enough. I sure hoped he listens now. The last 27 times didn't work.
She pulled me by the collar of my shirt into the building and man let me tell you, that shit had me weak. I closed the door behind us and stared down at her. She sat down on top of a table.
"What's all this about killing Lila?" She asked.
Fuck. I forgot to tell her about it. I didn't feel like lying so why not tell her the whole story. Her eyes were wide by the time I was done.
"I don't care if I'm over-fucking dramatic. She deserved it, and you know it." I growled.
"Jerome, I understand, but you could have left. You could have left all of it behind." She spoke.
"Why, so I can end up stranded like you? I don't run away from my problems, I come to face them and then every time, I solve them." I glared at her, towering over her while my face was inches away from hers. The urge to bite down on those lips was bitchin'...
