*Hii! I just wanted to make sure that you guys know that this IS and ISN'T related to the show at the same time, meaning that I will change up the story to how I like it, or how I think it fits, so don't mind if something just comes out of nowhere. <3***

For the 18th time this week, I was sitting at Jim's desk. Literally... staring. My arms crossed over my chest, being kept warm by a black leather jacket with initials engraved on the pocket reading "L.D." standing for Laura Delmont.

My mom died a few months ago, and her husband, Harvey Bullock, worked here at the GCPD. Wasn't really a surprise since my mom had a thing for guys with power. If not power, then at least a job that includes holding a gun all day. I honestly don't know what she saw in him. They've been married for 5 years. Sure, we've gotten closer than strangers, but he was still such an asshole....or that's how I felt.

Jim finally came back to his desk with a cup of steaming hot coffee in his grip. He softly smiled at me.

"Laura." He greeted me, sluggishly. I glared.

"I didn't do anything this time, why the hell am I tied up back here again?" I complained.

He stared back at me and then tilted his head. "Then why were you messing around holding Victor Zsasz's gun?"

I blinked. I wasn't messing around. He let me hold it. That's it. There's a big difference.

".... I didn't know it was his..." then he cut me off.

"He was standing right in front of you, Laura, don't give me that bullshit. You're 17. You don't need to be hanging around with guys like him and then going off and lying to cops." I stayed quiet, almost completely gagged.

"Why does it always have to be you. You're only doing this for him. You're doing HIS job."

He sighed and sat up straight.

"I'm not doing Harvey's job; I'm doing MY job. Your dad's busy alright? Now you can either tell me the whole story, and MAYBE I won't say anything to Harvey, or you can explain it to him when he gets off. And don't worry, you won't leave till he does."

He glared at me. I stared and dropped my head on the desk.

    "Ughhhhh!" I groaned.

So I told Jim everything. Only to avoid Harvey, of course.. I told him that me and Victor were close and that he protects me from any kind of danger.

But he never wanted me to see Falcone, the man he was working for, also known as the King of Gotham. Or the underworld at least. Jim didn't seem convinced, but he let me off the hook. I went straight for the exit and ran straight into Harvey. He stared at me.

"Laura? When did you get here?" He asked.

"I just came by to see Ed. But I guess he's busy." I smiled sarcastically.

"Ed's off today. I thought you knew that." He said, a bit confused as he squinted at me.

"Oh well, it must have slipped my mind." I said.

Then I looked past his shoulder and saw Victor, wandering around like a lost puppy.

"Listen, I know we haven't been able to catch up but I promise-" Harvey spoke before he was cut off by me.

"Yeah, sure! Okay! See you later." I said quickly, walking past him.

Obviously, I didn't pay attention to what he had been saying. He watched me leave the building, and his eyebrows were furrowed. He looked around and then walked up to Jim's desk.
