I sat on my phone scrolling to try and find a good real estate agent. I've been thinking a lot about what Jackie said about us moving into our own place. We have been dating for close to a year now, but would moving in and buying a place together i'm not fully sure. What if it messes up our relationship or causes problems so we break up? There's so many possibilities and consequences that could happen, positive or negative. Maybe i'm thinking to deep into it, but then again that is a big step in our relationship. I exasperated heavily and pulled out my phone calling A'ja. She always seems to know what to do in these types of situations.
I sat there waiting as the call rang and rang. Just as I was about to hang up she finally answered. "Hello?" she questioned, "Hey A is right now a good time?" I asked unsure. "Yeah i'm just here with Chels and Tip" she said making a me aware of who she was with. "Oh well tell them I said hey, but I really need your input right now" I spoke desperately. "Ok whats up girl" she asked giving me her full attention.
"So obviously you know how me and Jack have been together for almost a year now" I went on to say, "before we left to go meet my family the topic of us buying our own place and moving in together came up, but i'm worried if we do move in together would it mess up our relationship" I finished explaining.
"Mmm I can see where your nerves are coming from because that is a big step but you guys practically live together now" she said making me nod. "For real like everytime I ask Jackie where she at it's always at y/n's house, I swear since ya'll have been together she hasn't stayed in her apartment for at max a week" Chelsea said chiming in.
"I guess thats true once I think about it, only time she is at her place is if she needs to get some more clothes to bring to my house" I said making them chuckle. "Exactly plus you guys have built a very solid ground on yall's relationship, and you guys have focused God around it so ya'll should be good" A'ja said reassuring me.
"Yeah I guess you guys are right, thank you guys so much" I said appreciatively. "Your welcome girl you know we always have the best advice" A'ja said bragging. "Yeah yeah whatever bye chile" I said laughing hanging up the phone. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and just sat in thought for a minute. About a minute later my door flew open revealing my girlfriend. "Baby you won't believe what happened at target, proves why I don't go outside" she said chuckling to herself.
She looked up at me and seen I was still lost in my own thoughts. "What's wrong bub, what's got you thinking so hard?" she asked me now holding both sides of my face and standing in between my kegs. "I-uh yeah i'm fine i'm just thinking about what you said before we left to my moms place last week" I said making her eyebrows scrunch together.
Reading the confusion on her face I elaborated, "when you said we should just get our own place together so I won't have to worry about foundation in my sink" I said making her nod and laugh lightly. "Oh baby we don't have to get our own place together because that is something major for us to commit to" she said in a reassuring tone. "It is something huge to commit to and something scary to do, but for some reason I would want to make a commit like that with you" I said holding eye contact with her as she played with the hairs on the back of my neck. "You really want to take a risk like that with me Bubba?" she said lightly smiling at me.
"Of course i'm willing to put whatever on the line when its between me and you" I continued. "if worst comes to worst all we can do is pray about it for real" I said shrugging. "Just me you and God baby" she said sticking out her pinky finger, "just me you and God ma" I said interlocking our fingers. "Kiss to seal the deal" she said kissing her pinky, I kissed my pinky sealing our deal. "When do you want to start looking for houses?" she asked me sitting on my lap. "I gotta find us a good agent first then we can start talking about the type of house we both want" I explained. "Bet that up" she said trying to mimick my accent. "You ain't een do it right bae but good try" I said dying laughing.
"I'ma get it right one day trust me" she said joining in on me laughing.
