Chapter 20: Setting It Straight

I pulled up into my drive way parking my car quickly, slamming my door. I stomped upstairs to my room squeezing the bridge of my nose trying to calm down my anger, but I just slowly kept getting angrier by the minute. I paced back and forth across my room as my thoughts continued to race quickly. I sat down at the end of my bed with my head in my hands as my breathing and annoyance raised. As I sat at the end of the bed with my leg shaking I heard Jackie quietly walk into the room. 

"B-baby are you ok?" she asked me lowly, "who is he?" I questioned her in a scarily low monotone voice. "Huh?" she asked taking a step closer to me, "I said who is he Jacquelyn!" I yelled losing my patience. Her eyes went wide in terror as she slowly backed away from me scared. After seeing her afraid of me I took a deep breath exhaling heavily, "who is he Jackie?" I asked in a more calmer tone. 

"He's m-my ex..." she said making me look at her side ways, I chuckled darkly before saying "and when the hell were you ever gonna plan on telling me this?" I asked feeling my anger starting to arise again. "I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to react like this" she said softly making me shake my head and stand up. 

"Man fuck all that why were you allowing him to be all up on you!" I yelled standing up pointing at her. "But you see if I did some dumb shit like that all hell is gonna break loose ain't it!" I yelled more as the vein in my forehead started bulging. "And the crazy thing about all this shit mane is you could've just told me who the hell that nigga was but nah it's just fuck me right?",

"Just forget about communicating with your girlfriend yeah aight" I said squeezing my knuckles. "Y/n it's not like that, I kept trying to move away from him but he kept moving closer to me there was nothing I could do" she explained as her voice started shaking.

"Then why the hell you ain't just a nigga that I could've got his ass straight real quick" I responded flaring my arms. "I didn't want to tell you because he's crazy as hell and I didn't want his obsession with me to affect you and cause you to possibly kill him" she said wiping the tears that were trying to fall from her eyes. I looked at her with many emotions rolling through my head, anger, sadness, irritation, and guilt. 

"Listen Jackie i'm not mad at you ok i'm just very disappointed with the fact that you didn't think not one time to let me know anything about him" I said letting out my thoughts. "I really just need some time alone right now I don't want to say or do anything i'ma regret, i'll be back in a little I love you" I said lowly walking out the house. I got back in my car and drove off to anywhere just so I could escape out of my thoughts.

Jackie Pov

(Time skip)

I turned off the light in the bathroom and got into bed yawning. I've spent the last 30 minutes bawling my eyes out. My eyes are completely red and swollen, y/n has been gone for almost an hour and i've been waiting on her to come back home. I've seen her mad before but i've never heard her yell especially the way she did at me ever before. I do understand where she's coming from though, because if I seen another girl all up on her and turns to find out it was her ex i'd be pissed to. I knew I should've kept it real from the jump but I just didn't want to burden her with my past.

I laid in bed for another 15 minutes watching TV to pass time when I finally heard the front door open. Y/n walked into the room not saying anything to me and going straight into the bathroom closing the door. After a minute she came back out in just her sports bra and some boxers. She got into bed covering her legs with the blankets, "can we talk really quick?" I asked softly turning down the tv. 

She sighed and nodded slowly, "I'm so sorry baby I really should've told you way before hand about him" I said sincerely looking into her eyes. She nodded letting me continue "when I first found out about him being at the party I should've told you because I know important it is for us to communicate, I just hope you can accept my apology" I finished.

"I accept your apology Jack" she said taking a hold of my hand. "I apologize on my behalf of yelling and cussing at you because looking at it now it was really disrespectful of me to do that to you" she said making me nod in agreement. "I love you and I don't want you to take my anger as a different sign that I don't because I do, just please let me know something that I need to know as soon as you find out okay?" I asked looking at her. "I accept your apology baby, and I promise that i'll let you know whatever it is as soon as I find out" I said lightly smiling.

She stuck her pinky finger up making me smile wider and wrap my finger around her's sealing our promise. "Oh and also next time were in a space with him around let me know so I can have a little chat with him" she said making me side eye her. "I'm for real I won't throw hands with him at all but I will set the record straight on who you belong to and what boundaries he knows not to cross between our relationship and between you" she spoke in a serious tone. 

"I guess i'll let you know, but can I get some loving now I haven't gotten any all night" I said pouting. She smiled rolling her eyes, "yes mama come here" she said opening her arms. I crawled into her arms succumbing to her warm comforting touch, "Mmm gimmie a kiss" I said poking out my lips. She laughed and leaned in giving me a deep passionate kiss, "I love you" I said smiling wide looking at her, "I love you more bae" she said returning a bigger smile.
