"Ight baby I'm about to head out" I said loading my bags into my car. "Ok love give me a hug" she said holding her arms out to me. I hugged her tightly kissing her temple, "it's only 3 days baby then I'll be back in your arms" I said as I held her face in my hands. "I knowww but I'm going to be so bored without you here" she said pouting.
I kissed her lips wiping away her pout and turning it into a smile. "I promise you i'll call you every night before I go to sleep" I promised her.
"Fine I guess i'll manage with that for now" she said playfully rolling her eyes. "Now hurry up and leave so I can see you sooner" she said lightly pushing me into the car. I got in chuckling at her antics and closed my door, "i'll see you soon ma I love you" I said smiling at her. "I love you more baby please be safe" she said giving me a few more pecks. I reluctantly drove off and honked my horn as I watched her wave.
Man i'm going to miss her so much, I just don't want to leave...
(Time skip to being in Atlanta)
I just landed down in Atlanta a couple of minutes ago, now I'm just waiting on my cousin Nahmere to come and pick me up. I looked up from my phone when I heard a car honk in front of me. "Yoo twin is that my superstar cousin y/nn?!" he shouted out the window attracting attention from some people around us. I laughed as I opened his door and put my things in the back seat. "What's good twin I ain't seen you in a while" I said dapping him up.
"It's been almost 6 years man, how's the big league been treating you?" he asked pulling off from the airport. "Man it's been pretty tough in the beginning but it's been good ever since then" I said reminiscing on my rookie year. "That's wassup, I heard you bagged one of your teammates what's up with that bro?" he said cheesing at me. I instantly smiled at the thought of my amazing girlfriend.
"Mannn we've been dating for a good couple of months and she might end up being my one twin" I said slightly blushing. "Ahhh shitt nah y/n the hoe might be settling down?" he asked shocked making us both laugh. "Nuni please bruh I left them hoe days years ago" I said shaking my head. "How ya'll been doing down her though? Uncle Rob still running the streets with his old ass?" I asked chuckling thinking about my uncle.
"Mane Unc still out here hustling in the streets, you know he got shot not that long ago, but it was only like 2 times in the legs" he said shrugging. "He swear he Tupac now that he's been shot so many times and hasn't died" he joked laughing. "He always been crazy, but you bought you your own crib yet or you still living with him?" I asked as we were stopped at a red light. "Me and Jay still living with him, since we be having to sell and make some bread from out of there" he said making me nod.
"I thought ya'll was gone stop being in the drug game?" I asked him. "I mean yeah we were but we can't get a job out here with our record" he said making a me nod silently. We finally pulled up to my Uncle Rob's house and man it has not changed a bit. Only got more dirtier and the smell of weed was a lot stronger then I remember it being. We walked into the house and it was filled with smoke all in the air. I looked in the living room and seen Jay smoking on the couch watching a football game.
"Is that my round 1 Jay?" I shouted making him look at me and smile. "Oh mannn is that my round 2 y/nn?" he shouted back dapping me up. "Look at you brudda done got all strong and shit on me" he said as we laughed together. "I hope you know I can still beat your ass jit don't get it twisted" he pointed at me as I gave him a really bro look.
"That was years ago when you would've been able to beat me but times changed now" I chuckled. "WHO THE HELL DOWN HERE MAKING ALLAT DAMN NOISE!" my uncle yelled walking down the stairs mad. "Oh damn y/n what's up girl" he said giving me a tight bear hug. I groaned from the bone crushing hug tapping his back so he could let me down. "What's up unc" I said trying to regain my breath. "You looking good girl that W check treating you real nice" he said patting my shoulder strongly.
"It's just some slight nothing to much" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Come on and have a seat we got some catching up to do" he said as we all sat down on the couch. We talked for a good 3 hours just catching up on each others lives. Even though I moved away for the better of me and my career, I can't lie and say I didn't miss talking with these 3.
"Twin so your baby moms really tried to back door you because you didn't want to be with her?" I asked Jay shocked. "Yes bro the girl crazy as hell, the only good thing she gave me was my son" he said shaking his head. "That's wild bro I could never try and back door any of ya'll like that" I said sipping my drink. "Nah for real though, that's why I always kept you around y/nn cause you loyal as hell" Jay said. "Real shit though I could never slime you out twin, wouldn't even do it if Jesus told me to" Nahmere said with a held back smirk that I noticed.
I brushed it off though because he's known for laughing and smiling at the stupidest things. "I appreciate that from ya'll for real, but I think it's time for me to head out and get some rest" I said standing up grabbing my stuff. "Ight fasho i'll see you tomorrow brudda" Jay said dapping me up as me and Nahmere left.
I didn't expect coming back here would go like this so far, but I'm not mad at it. I just can't shake this feeling in my stomach that i've felt ever since the plane landed...
Maybe I'm just paranoid....
