Chapter 15: Meet The Fam

We just landed in Indiana early this morning and right now we were on our way to the arena to practice. Mostly everyone on the bus was sleeping and I was just up looking out of the window admiring my home state. As I was looking out the window I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket making me look at it and see it was my sister Kiare. I answered the call saying "hello?", Kiare responded back energetically "heyyyy sis have ya'll landed yet?" she asked. "Yeah we landed earlier this morning, we on our way to practice now though" I said making her hum. "Facetime me really quick" she said as I did just as she said. 

"Well hello my pretty big sister" Ki said smiling "what do you want Ki?" I said laughing at her antics. She sarcastically and said "oh nothing just wondering when were gonna meet this girlfriend of yours that you are oh so in love with" she questioned with a sly smirk on her face. I shook my head giggling before saying "ya'll will probably meet her during warm-ups or after the game, but most likely after the game". "Mhmm sure but speaking of where is she at anyways?" she asked making me point my phone down to my lap and showing her a peacefully sleeping y/n. "DAYUM JACK I AIN'T KNOW SHE WAS ALL THAT" Kiare said screaming into my earbuds making me side eye her. "Alright Ki don't do to much" I said because I know my baby fine but keep it to a minimum. "I'm sorry Jack but she is just fioneeee" she said once again "ok Ki I get it now chill out before I have to beat you about mines" I said making her laugh. "Alright forreal i'ma stop" she said making me roll my eyes at her.

We talked on the phone for maybe 10 more minutes before we had to hang up because we finally made it to the arena. "Alright i'ma see you tomorrow Kiare I love you" I said waving "ok I love you to Jack bye" she said waving back and hanging up. Y/n finally woke up stretching and yawning deeply. "Who was you on the phone with?" she asked rubbing her eye's. "Just my sister now come on big sleepy" I said as I grabbed my bookbag and headed off the bus.

(Time skip to game day)

September 4, 2021

Right now we were doing shoot around about a hour before the game starts and I was getting some shots in from the 3 point line with Tyler when I heard a familiar deep voice shout "JackJack!" I turned around and saw my uncle, brother, mom and sister all standing there with huge smiles on their faces. I jogged over to them and went straight over to my mom giving her a tight hug. "Hi mama" I said smiling while hugging her, "Hi my baby" she said with her slight country accent. I hugged everyone else and started catching up with all of them. "So when were you gonna tell me about you having this little girlfriend of yours?" my uncle questioned me making me side eye Kiare because I know she told him.

 "Well I was planning on telling you guys today so ya'll can meet her..." I said hesitantly. "Well where is she at?" my brother asked looking around trying to find her on the court. "She's in uh recovery right now she was out here earlier with me though" I said as my uncle and brother just looked at me. "Mmm well I hope you told her that you got a brother and uncle that will put belt to ass if she ever hurt you". 

My mom popped my uncle on his shoulder and said "Stefan cut it out over here harassing my baby" she said defending me. I just laughed and shook my head "it's all good mom, and for the record uncle stef she knows about how the both of you are but there won't be a need for any beatings cause she treats me perfectly" I said smiling. "Awwww sounds like someone is in loveeee" Kiare said singing. "Whatever but i'll come and see you guys in the family room after the game" I said hugging them all and saying bye.

(Time skip to during the game)

"Y/n for threeeee!" the announcer said making everyone in the arena and on the bench cheer. I smiled and held up 3 fingers as I watched from the bench. We were 5 minutes into the 4th quarter and y/n was on fire right now, she was shooting tons of 3's and getting easy lay-ups. I must say my baby is very very talented. Y/n stole the ball away and went for the fast break, she jumped into the air doing and full 360 and dunked the ball leaving me and everyone in the arena absolutely shocked. I stood up wide eyed just staring at her as she smiled flexing to the crowd. "Yo I did not know y/n could dunk like that what the hell?" KB said shocked. I couldn't even talk I was for real speechless. After that play the other team called a timeout and I got up giving on the court a high five.
